Should be. I know others who do it. Getting there would be busy though being peak.
-

Klotzen statt kleckern?

It's one of my 4 weekly rest days today. I'm feeling pretty fresh, so I might throw in some intensive rest stuff, and then just have an easy rest day tomorrow.

Anyone fancy 2 laps of Box hill at lunch followed by a refreshing pint in the sun?
-

Anyone fancy a Brighton run on Thursday or Friday? If you know the route, all the better, but if not I can print one out from Bikely. Fancy a long spin but could probably do with some moral support!

anyone else doing the Pearson 150 this weekend? Brighton and back.. Sunday.
Sparky there is a really good route on the Pearson 150 website, I reccy'd it last weekend. If you want a full route from west London I can help.

Ooh, got a link?

Here's the Pearson 150 on bike route toaster.
There's one absolutely magical section of about 2 miles where they recently widened and resurfaced a farm road into something wide enough and flat enough to be a motorway. It's so good, it's almost surreal.
route starts at marsden hospital in surrey.

Thought i'd look round box hill today.
Having never been before, is this okay route? Or am i missing anything good?Looking at the 2012 route they ride it north, anticlockwise, is this how to do it?

^did you go in the end? Was heading there this morning but had to abort because of unless riding partner.
Going in the morning for a fast ride if you want to come along. Know my way around the roads in the immediate area pretty well now.
-

Yeah went out there, was really nice to see a hill, did a few laps of it and some investigating around the area.
Thanks for the offer though. What classes a ride as 'fast'? Out of interest. -
• #642
Normally 17.5-18mph or a tiny bit higher if feeling good/low wind/well prepared etc. but didn't go in the end today. Went all out on a shorter route, got to the top of Epsom downs turned around and dashed towards Kingston.
19.8mph overall for 1hr 1sec but doubt I'll be getting that kind of speed again - just venting a bit of stress this afternoon :) -

I intend on fewer miles than that this evening and will be pootling around Regents Park purely to stretch the legs out.
On Wednesday, however, I would be interested in something along those lines.
-
• #645
Wednesday is a 50-80mile Kentish pootle with 10 miles of blistering speed plonked in the middle in the form of the Bexley CC Evening 10
-
• #646
You got a route for that?
-
• #647
Will knock one up when I'm not a day behind on a print deadline =/
-
• #648
what is the timing for Wednesday's ride? I would like to get to the gym around lunchtime, but also need to be back in Richmond for 7.30pm
-
• #649
out of work at quarter to 6, change bikes in peckham at half past, an hour out to farningham for half 7, stand around in a layby for a bit, 25 minutes for the ten, then along pilgrims way and back in to town whichever way won't kill me.

Why don't you ride to work on the bike you want to race on?
going home, switching bikes and doing three of richmond would hit the total. but blah. is it alright of a weekday evening, about 7-8pm?
