  • Fiddy remains relatively comfortable but v tired.

Visits are really appreciated, he now has a new phone (cheers canada girl) I am back in London later today and will make sure he can use it.

SMS are better than phone calls.

  • if someone has the technology to strip numbers off the old phone it would be a huge help

beware phone and sms messages may well have been lost in the last couple of days

I read and showed most of the messages back to him, so not a total loss.

Is he still on the same number? As i was thinking to drop by to see him this afternoon

  • Paul is not really responding to SMS messages

best to check here and if it's ok then go and visit, so feel free to pop in unless there are updates here to the contrary.

  • Sorry JD yes he is still as far as I know on the same number

  • Paul had another stable night last night.

If you can pop in please do. You may need to wait a bit for him to wake up, but he does truly appreciate guests.

It is going to be harder to keep up the flow of visitors once we all return to work (i go back today) so please go and bother him if you can.

  • keep it up paul

  • we went yesterday to see him, he was in good spirit, cracking a joke here and there, he really appreciate the visit and as he told Em, he realise everything.
was good to see you Paul.

  • Was excellent to see Fiddy yesterday he just gave me a cheeky wink and a Wow! Especially when em and Rik walked in it was even better.

  • it's so good to be able to read updates on Paul's wellbeing - it's almost like live tv
I'm abroad so no chance to be there, but sometimes it feels like i'm visiting with you guys

  • Paul continues to be stable but weak.

His medication has been increased, so he is much more comfortable. When visiting he may say some odd things, this is just 'dope talk'. Having said that, yesterday was the most lucid I have seen him for a few days.

If you have a moment please pop in, tell him how ghastly he looks etc etc.

  • I'll be in tomorrow if all goes to plan and I'm in London early afternoon. Any other Westies want to come along?

  • Popped in to see Paul this afternoon- he now has his own room it would appear, full of cycling paraphernalia.

He was asleep for the time that I was there.

  • Much love Paul. Am hoping to sneak off work tomorrow and come and visit in the afternoon. If not, have a comfortable new year and don't beak too many nurses.

  • If I get off work early tomorrow, gonna see if I can pop in as well

  • Dropout and I have been here all night. Paul has had a significant change now and his breathing is much worse. I have to go to work at nine am. Can anyone come and hold his hand from 9-1 today?
    Contact me if yes.

  • Scrap that
he stopped breathing while I was typing

  • Come on Paul!

  • dancing_james, be strong mate.

We all know how ill Paul has been, but not many people realise exactly how much you're putting into Paul's care.

    I personally salute you.

  • +1 ga2g

  • Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported through all of this. This has been a huge collaborative effort and we all deserve credit for demonstrating the true family nature of Lfgss.

Paul was entirely peaceful and relaxed at the end.

  • :(

  • Rest in peace Paul.

  • Rest in Peace Paul.

To James and everyone else, thank you for making him so comfortable and I'm sure making him feel so well loved when he needed it most.

  • I'm lost for words. RIP Paul.
