Paul is very alert today, so if anyone wishes to visit please pop in.
Understand that he is v unwell but relatively stable in his current position.
He may well doze for parts of your visit but is bright as a a button when awake.

I was in with Paul again this afternoon and he was very happy for the company, still mustering the biggest smiles, but he is really quite frail and very tired.
We are all pulling for you Paul.
All my love. Stuart. -

Went to see Paul at 2ish - got me out of my flat and a lovely ride from Shepperton along the Thames through Lower Sunbury, Hampton, Twickenham, Richmond and Putney. Felt like Contador onn the way there, felt like a fat bastard with a fence panel strapped to my back on the way home. The delights of Christmas excess...
Paul was charming as ever, asking about my litttle boy and if I'd had a nice Christmas. He may be frail but nothing can dim that smile of his.

Don't know if you're reading these threads Paul. I only met you once - on the ride to Clacton - I was the second oldest rider. So sorry to hear you are so unwell. I wish you all the best and a belated happy christmas.

Well only just seen this thread, heard a week or so ago and it has troubled me, but for some reason could not find the thread. I have only met you a few times, but everytime you have greeted me like a friend and I consider you to be one. You make an impression on everyone you meet, you are a legend among men, I will try to come visit you soon.

Season's greetings from Texas! As promised we swung by Mellow Johnny's on our way through Austin today. Enough carbon porn and historic TDF bikes to even stretch your generous bike build budgets.
More pics to follow but have a quick look at a couple of low res iPhone pics - a nice Seven carbon bike against a wall of carbon wheels and one of Lance's bikes from the last TDF. Apparently we missed him in the store today by 2 hours. Absolutely gutted.
Stay strong - Chris and Julia

i just smiled to myself thinking about something that happened yesterday and wanted to share it with y'all.
when multigrooves and i(myself me) were sitting with paul yesterday he gave out a little oww the sound you might make if pinched gently and then a big smile came across his face and his eyes lit up so brightly they could iluminate all of chelsea. i got up from my seat to see what was on his computer screen that was warming is heart so much, expecting to see a limited edition boxed campagnolo groupset but it was this picture from the glossy girls on bikes thread.

Paul's phone has died
has anyone got an unlocked spare phone?
battery life is not too important as it can stay plugged in most of the time
also has anyone got a multi plug adapter as he has enough electronics to make Mr Sony jealous
am currently out of London until tomorrow, so if you can help just contact dropout john or object

if someone has the technology to strip numbers off the old phone it would be a huge help
beware phone and sms messages may well have been lost in the last couple of days
