I think John may have a teeny hangover this morning...

Classic.
I got home, but I don't think I was stable. Fizz remarked how uncannily like alcohol I stunk. So good work there then.
Here's to the Guinness table and every sip being "for Paul", "for fiddy!".

the table was like a siege and all there was was a sea of G

I don't remember anything after 17:30, and I lost my d-lock, other than that it was a great service/wake and a fitting send-off to Paul.

• #1407
hehe, glad you got home ok, john.
and any news from jimbilly?
-
• #1408
Thanks again all those who did the hard work. It was emotional at times but it was a lovely way to send off a friend who was held in such high regard.
A few things:
Did Mack get home ok? just seen above so good news, john I can remeber who but i think someone may have got your lock.
Jim I hope you're ok and the road bike has lived to ride again.
But most importantly did anyone get a photo/movie image of Gerald serving chips? Gerald superbe!

What were the songs that were played during the service?
p.s. I though the Minister did a great job, I wanted to thank him but couldn't find him after the service.

Psy definitely got a photo, we made him pose with the tray and towel over his arm
Anyway - what an amazing, tiring, uplifting, emotional day. I haven't laughed and cried so much in ages. Massive thanks to all who made it happen, it was a pleasure helping out.
the epic TT back south was awesome, I'm really not used to riding that fast - and apart from that dodgy HGV moment it was a lot of fun. Was great when a load of other southies pitched up at the Effra as well. Stelle you crack me up - wtf were we rapping whilst we were trying to unlock the bikes?
Jim you maniac, I hope you alright fella xx

What a great send off for Fiddy. The service was very good and I thought the minister did an excellent job. Good to catch up with so many friends. Paul would have been proud.
Special thanks to those who waited for ages outside for us to faff about with bikes and clothes in the freezing cold. It was a good ride back North. I don't think any of us were totally trolleyed thoughHope you are ok Jim!

I have them noted down as to what they should have been, it all got a bit random however due some of the CDs not arriving till 20mins after the start.
It should have been (in order)
Mark Knopfler - Sailing to Philidelphia
Elkie Brooks - I want to be with you
Mark Knopfler - The last laugh
Pink Floyd - The Wall - 'Hey You'Yes, that Elkie Brooks is a magnificent track.
Hugh is a humanist is that a minister? more 'celebrant' but anyway - He was at the Wake and you'll be seeing him again... he's coming on some rides. :-)
