  • shit miss, hope it all turns out alright!

  • How did I miss all this?! I feel like a right prick now.

ps. miss_socks => Don't go to the pou-lice until sober, please! They might turn the table against you and the prick who hit Jim will get away....

  • Shit! He shouldn't go there if hammered!

  • well, its too late, jim is in the copshop now, and to be fair i think he might have taken a wing mirror off at some point along the way, its all on cctv an shit anyway. i also got told off by the cop on the phone for swearing...i hope jim was more eloquent...hehe

  • jimbilly is not as hammered as me, he was reasonably sober an stuff. i think the cops know what was goin on.

  • Hopefully they will punish the bastard who run him over.

I just remember the other thread where one of our guys was hit by a van and tended to by an ambulance people only to be be made a villian by the coppers, because he had few drinks (even he was a 100% victim)

  • What happened to Jim?

  • What a fitting final roll. Farewell, old boy!

  • Aye, what happened to jim?

A jolly good day, a cracking send off, an amazing ride, a stunning service... Thank you to all involved.

  • Sam, don't worry, he'll be fine i'm sure, he's been in worse situations in worse state, so he'll be home in no time.

  • I hope Jim is ok, first and foremost... Second of all, I hope the bike is all fixable...

That hasto be the best funeral I have attended. Well done and thank you to all who gave us all a wonderful day.

  • this is what happen;

shit the bed what the hell just happened?!

what a great send off, ive never cycled home so hammered!! i think fiddy would be proud!! good work to everyone that had a hand organising today, it was a brilliant send off.

so i am currently so fucking cold i can barely type. move my toes, and have a major headache. coming down the hipster spice route this eve, i lose jim in the traffic and come across him east side of old street roundabout, with his bike under a fuckin taxi?! hes still standing, but the taxi is trying to leave, so i call the pigs, tell them my boyf just got knocked off his bike and the car is trying to leave the scene, frantically scribble the number plate on my hand....

i think jim is mostly alright, but his ankle/leg seem fucked, neither of his wheels go round in the right direction anymore... hes now enroute to a cop staton in shoreditch somewhere so tey can take a statement, but they might have to wait for the morn when hes sober or something, apologies for the atrocious typing, i have been stood in the freezing cold for so lng i have lost the use of all my lmbs... FUCK. i hope he is ok, he doesnt have a phone with him, and i feel terrible for not going with him to the station but i had been stood in the road for about 40 minutes, and i have lost all judgement. i just wanted to go home and get warm. fuckfuckfuck.

not only did he crash the hearse, he crashed himself! i like to think fiddy is chuckling away to hiself, and i know this is gonna hurt int he morning....

  • Apparently early reports suggest he got his beard caught under the taxi's front wheel and was viciously thrown to the ground...the beard is apparently now a write off. :(

  • And this is what I love about the Brits. Just have a cuppa and all will be ok.

  • Holy smoke, I hope Jim is ok, I didn't know Fiddy personally but this looks like an amazing send off. I will be donating some money tomorrow to the funeral as this is what the forum should be about, and out of respect to someone who lived for cycling and was by all accounts a true gent. RIP Fiddy and a lot of respect to those who have organised this.

  • And this is what I love about the Brits. Just have a cuppa and all will be ok.

have had a cuppa, and now getting some feelin back into my extremeties...jim now haz phone an insulin, so hopefully he can contact me when he knows whats going on. unless the coppers dont give it to him! bah.

i dont remember the victimisation/drinking thing, but i hope it works out, jim was on his carbon road bike, so if no blame is placed, that could be a painful replacement.....he wasnt hammered, pretty with it, just honest with the copper when he said hed had a few beers. he is not seriously injured, just a buggered ankle which will hopefully not be too debilitating.

  • Fiddy would have been proud. It was a fitting last ride and everyone who spoke out at the service did a great job of painting a perfect picture of the man. Farewell Paul, you'll be missed but never forgotten.

  • I will be donating some money tomorrow to the funeral as this is what the forum should be about, and out of respect to someone who lived for cycling and was by all accounts a true gent. RIP Fiddy and a lot of respect to those who have organised this.

I would like to donate too, if it's not to late. Can someone post a direct link, please if the donations are still needed?

What I love about this forum is, it's full of loveable cunts!

  • It's Paul's final bike ride so to all intents and purposes it should really crash at some point.

...And it did...and in keeping with Fiddy tradition he managed to take out another rider at the same time, poor old little John. :)

  • sorry I could not be there , but fantastic send off well done to all involved

a fitting end to a man who was loved by many

  • Guys, someone mentioned the donations. If it's not too late - let us know, please, the address to send them to.

  • The ground beneath my feet, i know was made for me, there is no any one place where I belong.
My spirit's meant to be free, and soon now everyone will see, life was made for us to be what we wanna be!
IT'S YOUR WORLD, it's yours and yours and yours and what you see, was not meant for me.
IT'S YOUR WORLD, but you don't have to be lonely, 'cause in your world you are truly free!

RIP Paul, see you again sometime down the road.

  • ...And it did...and in keeping with Fiddy tradition he managed to take out another rider at the same time,

That so had to happen. Fortunately for the colnago, most of the impact was absorbed by my leg hitting that wooden post, although I may be in need of a new front rim..Paul, wherever you are, you owe me a pint.

Jim was the most amazing hearse rider ever though, screaming "you fucking cunt" at that woman in the car, before crashing the hearse. Twice. All in a few hundred metres of relative safety inside the park. Epic. Hope hes okay..

  • What a surreal and beautiful day... Not only did it reflect how much we all appreciated that crazy bastard but what an amazing group of people this is... I salute you all...

A bunch of us Southies carried on the party at the Effra after an epic TT from Kew... RIP Fiddy, miss you already... x

  • I have a voicemail message

"hello Owen, it's John, dropout John, dropout on the forum (long pause) hi owen it's Dropout from the form, john. So john mack need's a taxi and we don't know where to send him, errr.. nevermind" end of message
