Yeah, mine altered the geometry quite a lot though (not that I can actually notice while riding) as the AtoC measurement is significantly longer to get the extra clearance, even though I only usually run 23-25s. Having said that, I don't get any toe overlap, as the fork rakes out a few degrees more over stock and I use SPDs.

@alialias @Thrasher thanks guys! But I can't take a lot of credit for it because most of it is the awesome build from @socialamnesia that made me buy it in the first place.
@platypus I love the Marathon Supremes. I was running various cross tyres before, and briefly Paselas, but I got these 40mm Marathon Supremes second hand. I was really impressed how well they roll, they seem really fast considering their size, and I think I've had one puncture since fitting them and riding pretty much daily on a towpath and glassy bike paths, starting about 8 months ago.
Considering replacing the Paselas on my commuter/cross bike with them.

Plenty of discussion about these and vittoria voyager hypers elsewhere on the forum. Both good, I think hypers are a little faster, supremes a bit sturdier.

My Steamroller project coming on nicely. Rode one for 12 years. Sold it because I thought I was a grown up. Now building a new one...
Will have bullhorns tomorrow and will let you know how it rides. Can't wait!

This is my Steamroller. Built for mixed surface and bike packing. I also recently rode Grinduro on it which was a blast.

Is anyone around 5'10 riding a 56cm frame? Would prob be with town bars, not drops.
My lht is 56 and feels giant and only has a fist of seatpost out but my effectively same size ogre feels tiny. Suspect I could fit 53 or 56 but a 53 would look more hh.. -

I believe that,just i m not a fan of rear racks

Well I just won a 56 frame in monkey butt red so fingers crossed I can make it fit.
Don't really need this bike so will have to sell my commuter now :/
Will make a town bike/trailer pulling ss build. -

Haven't built a skidder/ss for years, what's the current fool proof budget drivetrain(black of course) of choice? Will prob be using vsprint wheels.

I'm that height and had a 56 and found it too large, couldn't really get forward over the bb enough. I have stubby legs though.

Hmm it seems 50:50 chance of it working out...

I audaxed and road rode (?!) on it so it was good enough, but I thought if I was gonna start investing it I should go for the smaller size
how do you find the marathon supremes for ride quality/speed/puncture protection? what width are you running?
