Good for you. Hope you don't get caught speeding.
-
• #328
But Sparky it'll make you faster!!
This is a proven fact. My bike with that seatpost goes faster than my bikes that do not.
-
• #329
See scientific fact I tell you!
-
• #330
My bike goes fuckin quick. Just a shame i dont any more!
-
• #331
I think I read somewhere that you get significantly more aerodynamic advantage from using overshoes than pretty much anything else.

• #333
No new bike pictures for a while, about time I put one of mine on here really...

Should be stumping up the dosh for my new frame on Friday. Behold, the Bat-Bike!
I can't wait to get it built up in the new year. Haven't ridden a bike since mid-September!
March still counts as "the new year" right? Picking the Bat-Bike up on Friday. Anyone for a ride at some point? Something slow and short preferably, I am totally out of shape :)

• #335
Wow, how long has it been since you had a bike on the road?
-
• #336
Since Saturday ;( my beautiful ti machine looks like a mountain bike at the moment, ah well at least it wont rust!!
-
• #337
Mountain bike, you say? Only four days until I'm in Afan with my new rebas...

Wow, how long has it been since you had a bike on the road?
Haven't ridden anything since I took the Surly apart mid September. But it's just, like, riding a bike right?
-
• #339
It's exactly like riding a bike.
-
• #340
Have you brought a frame that fits this time?
-
• #341
Negged for old/played out.
-
• #342
I meant it seriously, have you had a bike fit before buying this one?
-
• #343
:)
I'm intrigued.
-
• #344
Nah, haven't had the spare dollar to get a pro fit done. I did the Competitive Cyclist bike fit calculator - this frame is 1cm too long but should be a definite improvement from the Surly. I'll let you know how it feels when I take it out on Friday. Will probably feel very weird to start with - so used to being bent over on a 56cm :S

The stem/bars aren't ideal if the frame's too long. But if it feels stretched-out then you can easily change to a shorter stem or maybe some flat bars/risers. Looks stealthy. Not my cup of tea, but pretty cool.

Yeah, to be honest its not 100% my cup of tea either, but the frame & forks were cheap & it should be a fun runabout until something better comes along. Not sure whether to take it with me when I go back to Thailand or sell it and pick up something interesting out there.. one of the fixed gear shops in Bangkok had a well used old Panasonic in my size when I was there in the Autumn, and from what Earng says it's still waiting for me (not many takers for a 60cm frame out there).

• #347
You going out there permanently?
-
• #348
Permanently sounds so final. But yeah, it's looking that way. Getting married, dontcha know.

Getting married, dontcha know.
No, I didn't. When the hell were you going to tell me?! Congratulations!
I often ride around town at that speed.
