My other half makes it with the leftover mincemeat every year, it's one of the highlights of Christmas (and I love Christmas food).

Had my first Greggs mince pie of the season last night, cheers for the heads up!

first Greggs MP of the season - seem to be sweeter than I remember?! Like enamel stripping sweet!

I've had a fair few this yuletide. I rate Sainsbury's TTD top, because of the wet, slightly stodgy pastry - yum!

And we're back. Locked in! Shout out the mince pie crews north south east and west. Ok.
Ya feel me? Don't get shook.
Let's go.
Sainsbury's deep fill. 6 for a quid. What a way to start the season. Buttery pastry and a generous, well flavoured filling. Did I taste whiskey in there as well? I'll enjoy this box and be back for more.
Safe.

Are Greggs stocking yet?
^Yule see what I did there?

They should be... might grab some today.
Also, Sainsbury’s have got banging stollen now.

I need to get off the shop-bought soft mush in tin foil shite this year.
What I want is a jar of delicious mincemeat and a roll of rich pastry, so that I can easily cook them up myself.

Not usually one for the 'fancier' versions, butSainsbury's TtD all butter ones were good. I snuck in a pack a couple of weeks ago while the missus wasn't around - though forgot to eat the last one before she got back. Got grief for having mincers in October, but that's just how I roll.

Make sure you pimp that mincemeat up - extra dried fruit soaked in booze of choice and you're golden.

I've already started. First one was a Pat Val giant, they are v.good.
I have also eaten too many Mr Kipling Icing-topped pies, very very sweet but strangely moreish.

I just put the sainos order away. So much dried fruit. A bottle of rum. And a bottle of maderia.
Even if it's not making the fruit for Christmas this weekend, I'm happy. -

No probs FB. I've taken your name off the 'free sample', delivered-to-your door gift-wrapped list. 😀

I've advocated that if we're making new mincemeat etc, then last years remaining jar should be used today.
Ew.
