Mince Pie Appreciation

Tried one this morning, think I prefer it to Toads offering, more spice better pastry to filling ratio. Top work!!

Been a bit light on them this year but did have one from Jolene the other day that was in another league than the supermarket ones.
Have got some standard Waitrose ones now but they’re pretty meh. Might make some.

What the actual fuck? I'm definitely the kind of person to put sriracha on pretty much everything, but mincers?

Couldn’t agree more. Have walked in with money and out with multiple exotic scotch eggs more time that I can count.

For anybody in bristol, loaf on church road does a great mincer. Sprinkle of granulated sugar on top was new to me, but quite enjoyed the little bit of crunch

This season I've been almost exclusively forging the crumble tipped mincers from Blackbird Bakery in Herne Hill*. £11 for a box of ten makes for a tempting price point.

They are suspiciously flat, and messy to eat, but are quite delicious.
