snack with intention
God I'm so glad I don't work in advertising any more.

I know, it is a bit...
Hopefully will be a delicious intention though :) -

It may be the case that I'm just a bit bitter as I have indulged in the sweet stuff a bit much this week so I feel bad just seeing cake packaging right now.

Was looking for restaurant vouchers for a present and came across Gauthier Soho.
Googled for discounts and found this https://www.peta.org.uk/living/veganvouchers/
Using 'PETAOFFER' and as they are having a sale too, have just purchased 2x Vegan tasting menu with wine for £91.https://www.gauthierwines.co.uk/collections/gift-vouchers/products/vegetable-tasting-menu-for-two
Not sure if they are going to tell me it's an error and to f*ck off.
Might be of interest..

Costa have a vegan mince tart(!?) which I would not rate. Very chalky pastry, not especially good filling, shame really.
Thought I was on to a winner the other day with Mr Kipling, scanning through the ingredients and all vega- oh, milk in there way down the list. Why Kipling, why?

Ate their recently as a birthday treat. Very much doubt they’ll tell you to fuck off. They are always doing deals to get people in, as my gf on their mailing list Is pretty fancy but food and wine were both delicious.

Good to know. I was just suprised at how big a discount was applied.. I was mentally preparing myself for the listed price and now it's a relative bargain for dinner and wine.

For Xmas treats, Aldi is great at the moment. These are amazing and 89p a bag. Dangerous.

Anyone been to Mono or Stereo in Glasgow ? Thinking of booking one of them out for a thing but won’t have chance to see them in person before booking.
-
• #7166
been to both and stereo more frequently due its proximity to the station. totally relaxed vibe and always a decent feed. would imagine Mono might lend itself better for a thing due to layout.

Both are nice but on the pricey end of the spectrum!

Can vouch for Gauthier, my GF took me there for my birthday this year and it was amazing... we're going next year as well as it really was that good. If you like a beer, not loads of choice, but what they have got is v good.

Made Portabello mushroom Guinness stew on the weekend, accompanied by more guinness.
Was amazing after a dip in the very cold sea!

Mono is good. 13 note just over the road is good too

My local Aldi has no vegan Xmas treats. Sad face.

Anyone tried Mouse’s Favourite Camblue?
Pretty sure the one I have is bad. Tastes weird, get a slight burny tingly sensation when I eat it. Smells a bit like bathroom mould haha.

Mouses favourite and in particular Camblue is one of my favourite vegan cheeses. Did you check the eat by date or has it gone beyond that.
The M&S Vegan mince pies are quite nice
