Ah, thanks for the heads-up. The local shop up near me where I used to get it ran out of stock a while ago and (despite pleas) hasn't re-stocked yet.

@edmundro you beauty. Your vegan sausage roll recipe is banging. My housemates all agree.

Though I must say it took me significantly longer than 30-40 minutes - but then I do faff better than I cook.

I was here having a few beers yesterday https://www.towertavern.co.uk/ and saw that the menu is now all vegetarian and vegan. I didn't eat there but those that did said it was decent.

Right around the corner from my office! That's were we do most of our after-work boozing.

Ah cool, last few times they've been on offer I get tempted but then leather.

I've had a vegan version for years, it's great, would highly recommend.
Edit: for clarity, I know the Restrap people and they made me a vegan version on request.

Also, for anyone interested, the "leather" style patch on their bags are synthetic as well so all the luggage is vegan as far as I know.

I haven't managed to go for months but am finally free tonight. It's always a really lovely evening, with a mixture of old and new people, as well as long-term vegans and people very new to veganism.

More recently, the evening has acquired a Geekstraveganza arm in that people play boardgames a little later in the evening--always really good games available, if that's your thing.

It's at Karamel in Wood Green, a lovely family-run vegan restaurant.

There's so much going on in veganism now that it's easy to forget this was one of the first annual events, a total oasis from the rest of Christmas, and as previously mentioned, it has been going for 27 years now. If you haven't been before, it's a must to go at least once.

I have been reliably informed that the Waitrose Essentials mince pie contains milk powder this year. Pretty retrograde move by the Waitrosers. Stick with Greggs...

Can recommend the Morrisons Free From mince pies... big crusty top and quite a bit of filling... been smashing them lately!
