It's pretty good. Vegan gravy, vegan sausage. Neutral peas.

Mayo is great in mash.

After living with a vegan partner for a year I did veganuary and have happily kept going. My only regret is that I didn’t change sooner. My particular fav foods at the moment are What The Pitta kebabs and glazed donuts in Brighton.

Also, does anyone have recommendations for good food and coffee shops - esp with cake!- in Edinburgh.

Fieldwork - ice cream on your porridge!
Novapizza - veggie & vegan italian place.
Holy Cow - burgers and cakes.
The Auld Hoose - great pub with amazing pub food & giant nachos.
Paradise Palms - bar with loads of bar snack/sharing type stuff.

Coffee wise - Lowdown, Brew Lab, Cairngorm, Cult Espresso are all good spots.

Went here the other day (first time I've been out for a meal in months) - highly recommended! Really liked the cauliflower buffalo things and tofish, and the jackfruit dirty fries. Everything was a little larger and more filling than we expected though so don't go too mad.

I haven't been to Fieldwork, Novapizza and Holy Cow but I do like the Auld Hoose. There's also Henderson's.

100% this. Naturli butter is THE best butter alternative

I can recommend Breads Meats Bread, not 100% vegan but their burgers are very good. There were quite a few places in the old town along George IV Bridge that again, weren't 100% veagn but had good options.

Can back this reccomendation! Went to one in Glasgow and it was great in an extremely stodgy, impractically large burger kind of way.
