  • Place in Holloway called Loving Hut. Fully vegan Chinese with extensive menu. Don't know if its been mentioned earlier.

  • We're all cocks - you're much better off in your happy state of isolation.

  • Yeah I know. That's what people think about me.
    "What do you eat?"
"You look healthy for a vegan"
    "Why?"
    Thats the conversation by numbers.

  • i omitted loving hut in favour of gallery but i'd happily do both

  • Tell me about gallery please...Not heard of it

  • veggie cafe & coffee shop on old ford road, between bethnal green tube and victoria park. has a reputation for slack service, bad coffee and running out of food early on in the day. it's pleasant enough and not overly expensive, and offers things like a (relatively nice, compared to other places in london) vegan breakfast, does things like lasagne, pies, burritos, and the fabled gallery pizza. also does a sunday brunch and pancakes.

re: waffles as aforementioned (many ^^^) - lock 7 don't do them any more which is a shame

  • So is the plan to get a snack at every location or have a full meal somewhere?

  • The plan is to eat vegan treats and then eat vegan pizza and then eat more vegan treats

  • So is the plan to get a snack at every location or have a full meal somewhere?

Cheers. Always willing to check something new out. Never know.

  • Lucy, you are darn hot on your route panning! Depending on the day I'll drop by for a few miles. :)

  • Also, No67 cafe at South London Gallery now serves a selection of vegan cakes, tray bakes and blondies...and it's on the South London Hipster Spice Route :)

  • Absolutely in for this, if it's after the 26th... The pizza meet-up a few months back was great

If I could be so bold, I'd probably pick Black Cat over The Gallery in order to get one of their sausage rolls though

  • "You look healthy for a vegan"

LOL, did not hear that one before!

  • ^I haven't been to black cat yet, keep hearing really good things about it though. No reason we cant do black cat and gallery though.
I think we should also put in a fail safe pizza option in case we don't make it to gallery or they have run out of pizza again/as usual so we could do Amico Bio if we end up around soho.

  • Mmmm, Amico...

  • After detouring to Crystal Palace, how about Kingston?

Found these in the coffee shop attached to Kingston Natural Health on Old London Road. Most of their produce is Vegan by accident, rather than design, as is often the case with "free of" foods.

    Reader, I ate one:

And it was awesome. Much better than Ms Cupcakes.

  • Why don't you create a south of the river route for another ride in that case?

  • I have just become aware that Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green now does vegan fish and chips every Thursday. Heading down there this Thursday with a few folk if anyone's interested.

  • Oh, I'd be keen on that.

  • Hi, I just joined to mention Thursday at the Gallery Cafe too. (Oliver & Lucy, I met you the other week in Stokey with Nick). Getting there for about 6.30pm. The more the merrier!

  • Welcome, Nitnux--are you mistaking Caz for Lucy, though? Lucy wanted to come but couldn't make it.

  • The vegan Society is recruiting for a 'Supporter Services and Events Coordinator': http://www.vegansociety.com/sites/default/files/JD_Supporter%20Services%2BEventsCoordinator.docx

Not a great starting salary but might interest somebody on here.

I like their new look. Seems a little more pro, less yoghurt weaver.

  • Based in Brummagem, as I'm sure you're aware.

  • Yes, sorry, I meant to say :)

  • That new logo sucks.
