I can’t help wondering why a P clip can’t be used, opened out, to clamp a rack light around a seat pin or seat tube.

Bodge it baby.

Thank you. Sorted now I think

I fitted that the other day, on my black rack.
I'm 40+, have three kids, a drink problem, so looks are the least of my worries!
Pretty solid so far.
The seat clamp one has a big mounting hole according to sjs reviews.
Let me know if you want to see a crappy photo of my crappy biek with the anti bracket mounted

Should have my bike rebuilt and the dynamo wired later this week - can't wait.
Hoping to find that something like this exists in London to make it all worth while.

I think you should 100% start one if there isn't

Thats made my day :D Start that I might have to start a BSA threaded BB appreciation society.

If enough people are keen I'll set something up - Puffer jackets and hot pizza sounds like an ideal ride combo for autumn.

I used a p-clip around the seatstay, with a qr adapter for a mudguard. If you can zoom on the below pic you should be able to see:

Another ace bike !

What guards?

It is nice.^
Puffer jackets optional I hope. Dynamos & pizzas yes. Let's do one that ends at Santa Maria. Maybe something that takes in plenty of unlit places - Richmond Park springs to mind.

needs a boat ride too, how many bikes are allowed on those Thames clippers?

• #3094
Thank you! It's hardly elegant but it does a lot of things well.
@mi7rennie sks edge Al 56, with replaced stays and some dremelling -

Oh yes I'd be up for a pizza ride!

I'm going to be soldering on a Son Coxial adapter onto the end of my dynamo light to make removing things far easier. Has anyone gone through this process? All reports are it's pretty tricky, I'm a definite novice...I'm planning on following this guide as best I can but wondered if anyone had any tips / advice?

I've done it, some experience soldering but definitely not an expert, it was fiddly but not that hard. If you have crocodile clips / blu tack it will help hold everything in place while you solder.
Normally when soldering wires I'd tin the wires before joining, DO NOT do this with the wires going in to the coaxial plug, it made my wires too thick to properly feed in to the hole.

Cheers for the tips

Also the outer most copper wire strands are extremely thin so take extra care when stripping the black insulation off, it's very easy to chop half the wires off by mistake.

Is running the rear light cable along (cable tied) to the rear brake hose a good/safe idea, or should I route it elsewhere?
