Is it worrying that I read this thread, looked at the pictures, recognised Sano's lock and only then look at who the OP was?
Good luck getting it back.

It still isn't worth involving the authorities. The copper will most likely see 'a blue bike' and 'a red bike'.

If it hasn't been properly stripped prior to repainting there should be some residue from the original paint around the headset, BB cups or the seat clamp pin. Scratch away.*
- If it's been powdercoated (which it looks like) forget all the above.

When you meet the current 'owner' tell them they 'picked the wrong girl'. I really want you to do that bit.

i know they're mostly interested in bagels but pointing out the head tube lugs, the handlebars, the stays, the cranks/chainring and the blue headset should be enough for even the thickest, donut-breathed copper to see it's the same bike.
Yeah^. The rear ends are pretty distinctive too. It's even still got the same front tyre.

They've kept my old back wheel on too - iro hub, velocity rim, and there will be a dink in one of the spokes somewhere too...Also, Shop 14 did the conversion ... everything apart from the spray remains the same. Even a zip tie that was used to keep handlebars in place while she got a bolt from the shop is still there...

^yeah that last one's a good un. Especially as it used to be red. with lovely decals. :(
You gotta love them thieves for being so damn lazy and not changing any of the parts, and selling it to someone who's gonna park it a whole quarter of a mile away from where it was lifted.
Richmix sucks for that response about the security camera. Security cameras is jokes.
