  • ok i'll see how friday night goes.. next week looks better.

  • Thanks DoubleTap and RPM, looks like I'll go with the Condor but this week I'll be turning up with my 46/17.

  • yeah id love to join in on this....
anyone selling a fixed training bike I could invest in - i've posted in the 'wanted' section......
    51-53cm frame ideally
    ta
    etc etc etc

  • If you have read "The Restraint of Beasts" by Magnus Mills, you will understand. Quite a boy with the old high tension barbed wire is our James.

my favourite book of 2008, nice one clive.

see you lot on saturday. probably be arriving as your training sesson is ending.

  • Anyone doing anything on Sundays, would be well up for this, but Saturdays are impossible for me :(

  • Oh wait Cliveo already mentioned about the Rolla CC, will check into that, cheers :)

  • Go easy on deep section rims tomorrow it's going to be very windy.
Zed, I just realized you dropped compulsory helmuts from last year's do and dont's, what is that about?

  • Just found out that I will be working this weekend, but will make it other times I am sure, enjoy the spin spin spin.

  • 20mph gusting to 50mph. And pissing down.
Despite spending £200+ on a turbo and fan so I could easily to avoid precisely this kind of nastiness I will be channelling my inner Belgian.

  • i can only do this if i can get a new rear tyre

mine now has a flat rolling surface and ridges on either side, so when cornering I am riding on a little edge of rubber

hills, speed and water will make this lethal

    removes H+Son wheel

Not sure we had helmets as compulsory. What is compulsory however is a mechanically sound and functioning bike. And that includes rear tyres DJ!

Weather looks OK a bit windy, but if we ride as a group we should be fine.

Yeah! Thats the fighting spirit. See you tomorrow.

    Urgh, no compulsory helmuts, please.

  • ^ that was by choice, 16 years

  • Not mine. :(

  • it was compulsory for helmets last season, makes sense as people are riding close and doing things outside of normal comfort zone

  • OK, so now that I am the proud owner of this...

...I can ride a GI of 67.4, which means I also have absolutely no excuse.

    See you in the morning.

DJ I have a one week old Lugano with a bit of a slash in it that I've been meaning to repair. I could Super-Glue-Gel it tonight and bring it along if you are desperate? 23C

the reason I said for helms last year was because they are compulsory for track, as the sessions were aimed at people wanting to ride track I thought they may as well get used to it. well, that and putting off fixie pricksters ;)

I never wore a lid on the road, but forced myself once I got more serious about track so I wouldn't find it uncomfortable or odd feeling when I did have to wear one. It worked!

last thing you want when you are lining up for a race is for any of your equipment or clothing to be bugging you.

  • I need to check my stock of shite at home, there may be a half used michelin pro race 3 which i could put on the front and move my gp4000 to the rear...

  • Make sure you drink the wine first and then attempt to swap the rubbers, whilst cooking french toast at the same time. See you tomorrow.

  • You lot are weird.

  • No*** you're*** a wierd.

  • At least I can spell (and punctuate).

  • ved, you passing my office on your way home?

    want booze?
