My fave cuss was when I was riding from Muddy Hell to the Regent with Corny on Saturday night... "Fixie wankers!" they bellowed... I think they were just smelly, illiterate couriers out on the jolly... I pissed myself laughing... :D

Why would she lie to me when I had just given her £10? That would be a horrid thing to do.

To be honest I've actually left the immediate vicinity now but i've no doubt i'll be back at some point. Spent many happy years living there, on the junction of Mare Street and Kingsland rd
You must mean somewhere else. Mare Street and Kingsland Road do not have a junction.

They used to call Upper Clapton Road that after a spate of yardie type gang shootings in the area in the mid 90s.
There were two shootings on UCR, but most of the notorious ones were on Lower CR or around it. Several were associated with the Palace Pavilion and Chimes nightclubs, and most of them happened in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Olliver would be able to help out with the statistics here but I'm pretty sure that the majority of people in the UK have a bike- albeit a rusty one they last used in 1998 that is now in the shed tied to a ladder with a hose.
There are millions of unused bikes but I don't think I've ever considered any figures relating to that worth remembering.
