Have a good one, James. Looks like we'll be getting as wet as you come Sunday morning.

I wish I could come again. Had such a good time on the last one, but went out for another mammoth spin the next day and did my knee in. :(
As soon as it's better I'll be back on this on a regular basis. Have a good one! -

Nice one, Martin.
Went out earlier on a loop inluding Exedown, I think they've finished all the earthworks further down the hill as the road wasn't slipperly at all.
Of course, this could have had something to do with a) my puny legs, and b) my excess weight sticking the rear wheel to the tarmac.
There is a large pothole near the top of the climb right on the left hand side almost in the verge, but in the daylight should be noticable to all. If not, someone has kindly spraypainted a white circle around it to grab your attention.

Right, I'm on mudguards and 25s. I was looking forward to getting my Tix, but lumbering utility has bullied me into submission. Riding the audax bike is like taking methadone.

I think i'm gonna be on my fuji track winter bike, with 28c's 44 X 18. Not sure weather to ride fixed or free though... how bad is this climb?
The weather igrim, but i look forward to meeting you all.

• #160
Aye. I've not got mudguards. If it stays like this I reckon I'm out.
-
• #161
i've just got race blades until my tempo arrives next week.
-
• #162
If you're a reasonable rider you should be fine on 44x18.
Sorry everyone, I haven't got mudguards. Fortunately I'll be at the rear anyway...

-
• #173
i may come and fall again then... i am working on getting a pass...
-
• #174
I'm doing it, even though I'm on the heavy bike and I'm a fat bastard compared to my former climbing self.
-
• #175
I'm going to make it, hopefully. It's just if it's pishing it down; I have no mudguards and don't want to be anti-social.
Yeah, rest up and get better soon Tim.
Everyone else, have a great ride.
This Sunday I'll mainly be swapping the bike for a set of compressed air tanks.
