Android phones, apps and tablets

I found Google Now to be a bit shit at first, but it didn't help that I was in Seattle when I started using it. Now I've come back to the UK and am back in routine, it's settled down a bit.

I only have it on a tablet, so it's been a bit limited, but I imagine when I have it on both tablet and phone that it'll be great.

I use it a hell of a lot, and I was pretty cynical about it when I first got it.

It happens to me all the time.

Oh, and news from my dad.

Month one on the 3 unlimited data SIM card for £12 per month... he's used 6GB of data.

I stand impressed.

Just dropped my 1x from about 1foot and the screen is now fucked.
Is replacing it easy or shall I seek professional repairs.

well, replacing screens on HTC One X looks to be an expensive hobby.
HTC want £145, locally dodgy guy wants £110-120.
I am debating just slinging it on ebay and buying a Nexus 4...

Just bought my mum a Nexus 7, having set her up with gmail.
She seems to like it, but as I was out last night she was completely flummoxed by the lock-screen. Doh. Still got a lot to learn.

It's a lovely piece of kit though, and ridiculous for £195. My next phone will be a Nexus!

Almost flashed a Nexus rom to my S3... just noticed in the last moment. Epic fail.
