  • cOOL APP BRO.

  • cool caps lock fail bro

  • I got the Huawai Blaze in the end, seems a nice enough little phone.

Does anyone have a microSIM to SIM adapter? I did have one, but it's hiding from me.

  • Found it! Right, quite a nice little phone this.

Is there an equivalent of the iPhone notes application available for Android that does not suck balls?

  • I just use gmail drafts or google docs so they're accessible off-device.

  • I've tried a few different notes apps now and they are all bobbins.

There must be a nice, straightforward note taking application?

  • Evernote?

  • Catch notes is pretty awesome

  • Probably easy to do but how do you flag emails on the sensation with the stock email client??

  • Evernote?

    ^this.

  • But it's so, so ugly.

    Do not want.

  • The Blaze is ok, it's a little Android handset and it provides what I wanted- mobile Gmail, web, and G-Maps. Plus you can make phone calls.

But- epic lag. Ask it to display a photograph and be prepared to go and make a cup of tea.

Still, horses for courses, it'll be a good spare phone when I get a job again.

  • chrome beta now available for 4.0 and higher devices. Seems pretty fast

  • Oh, and the Blaze has had to go back onto the charger twice to make it to this point in the day.

  • Too many widgets?

  • Zero widgets. Just a teeny battery I think.

Is there an easy way of seeing what is taking up memory, and nuking stuff?

Also, the screen is very soft- beware of scratching it if you have one of these.

  • Dammit and the battery saga continues!

The Battery dies to quickly, Long live the Battery!

  • Dammit, app called Watchtower does it all but you can see what is using battery in Android settings. It's always the screentime.

  • Amazed that you don't know this :

Setting - about phone - battery - battery use.

  • And yeah, it's screen, always. Lower your brightness as far as you can.

  • Google have finally done what I have been saying they should do for ages: launched Chrome for Android:
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.chrome&hl=en

It's installed on my Prime and I will look forward to playing with it when I get home...

(Due to some complicated proxy issue I can get internet on my tablet at work and all the apps work except browsers, which never work. I suppose because I haven't got the http proxy working but if anyone cleverer than me has any ideas please shout!).

  • It's always the screen.

    Always.

Dim it, turn it off when not in use. Stop looking at it obsessively. If you play games and have it lit for a while, plug it in.

No smart phone lasts that long when you've lit the screen up.

  • Chrome isn't running too smoothly for me. It keeps freezing so I'm back on opera for now.

Anyone else having this with a custom ICS rom? I'm using the AndyX 5.1 rom which has been excellent otherwise.

  • Apparently Chrome is not compatible with my phone?

  • you running 4.0?

So far it's been super smooth / crash free for me (official build)
