iPhone 4S is faster than Android phones, in this group of tests. Very impressive, but I still can't buy into a closed and locked down system.
And on the flip-side, Android can become as secure as Blackberry.

And lastly, dual-core and quad-core on the way.

Noticed any difference in battery?
I tend to keep it pluggedin at work, so rarely run out of battery. I'll report back after the weekend when I should have some more info, as I'll be using it unplugged much more.

Ashe, Android is much less locked down and controlled than iOS- it's why I bought an Android phone.
However, Android (the current/latest version) is not open, Google will only release the source code some way down the line.

But they do release it.

Anyway, does anyone sync two Exchange boxes on their 'droid device? If so, what do you use. Someone here is asking and I'd like to make their transition from crapple to 'droid easy.

Smartphone CAMERA test. The test is quite exhaustive and compares these phones and their cameras (still and video capabilities).
Samsung Galaxy S II
HTC Sensation 4G
T-Mobile My Touch 4G
Motorola Droid Bionic
iPhone 4S
iPhone 4The control standard was the Nikon Coolpix P300 digital camera.
I'll let one cat out of the bag - the Samsung Galaxy S II is amazing at 1080 video production.

Is anyone else having trouble with the latest adobe flash update for desire? Mines taking up something like 17mb!
Still coming up with this shit. No way you can cancel the auto update of adobe flash either. I have to keep uninstalling the update - pain in the ass. Would rooting sort this issue?

Did anyone get a Sony Tablet yet?

Who has a Wildfire S? How do you find it, do you run it as a WiFi hotspot? How does it perform?

So, my t-mobile contract ends tomorrow. I can either ask for a new phone and another 18 months or go to giffgaff. I like new phones and don't have the monetary foresight to be able to pay for them myself. However, there doesn't seem to be much new with t-mobile. The Sensation and GSII. Both are nice phones, but with the Galaxy Nexus just being announced (and no confirmation either way from t-mobile), I want the newest generation! Stomps feet
Thoughts? (I currently have a good old Desire which is perfectly fine, but I wouldn't mind a bigger screen).

If I could have any phone, I'd be sorely tempted by the Samsung Galaxy Note. That said, my WiFi Hotspot and tethering has not worked once, so I may go for one of the latest HTC phones instead. Apart from wifi connectivity issues, the Galaxy S II is a marvel. But I want better as well. We are a spoiled bunch.
Or, now that Google own Motorola, it might be time to take them more seriously? Morola Razr.

a chap who displayed Jedi master skillz. No charge and invited me back to pop on the second one from the pack when required.
Where was this "shop"?!?

Go to giffgaff, test it out for a few months and wait for conformation on the Nexus, and the go get that

Me too (Desire S), I liked the look of the Desire HD, but got put off by the screen resolution being the same as my Desire S.

I'd wait....you're not going to loose out moving to giffgaff (in fact you'll save more than a few pennies) and I'd be keen to get a handset that had NFC support

Move to GiffGaff, put the money you save over your current monthly contract in a pot every month?
Then when you come to buy a new phone you'll have at least £20 to go toward it...

I did. Uninstall it, then if you're anything like me you will find flash still works, but you have much more space on your phone. Then ignore any attempts by Flash to update itself.

I did uninstall it but noticed today theres an option to disable auto update on it. Ticked that, hopefully it'll work!

Anyone else have a similar problem to this - Got an HTC Desire and, when using the camera, specifically when trying to use the video function the whole phone locks up for a minute or two, and when I eventually manage to get out of the camera app (default HTC/Android app) it sits running in the background and kills my battery within an hour or so. Obviously if this happens I reboot the phone now.
I'm unable to record video, which I was able to do when I first got the phone. I've installed the HTC release of Android 2.3 but this hasn't fixed the issue. Phone is currently running 2.3.3.
