  • Me too! Wah!

  • It has to be the Asus Transformer imo - the only one I am aware of to have an IPS screen

Asus missed a trick, they should have made it make 'Transformer' noise when you open it up or detach it from the keyboard.

  • cant imagine it will be long before some enterprising soul does so :)

  • ^^That was my text message notification sound for oh so long..

  • There's a clearence sale on SIM free handsets @ CPW tomorrow

  • Tesco shopping trolley Android satnav.

This was the sort of thing that HP tried to win over people to the versatility of their WebOS system. It only shows how versatile the Android OS can be. This is some impressive momentum on the part of Android.

  • Awesome, just awesome. I'm in awe at the speed android is picking up.

  • So I'm still on my original Google Nexus, is there really any serious reason to upgrade to a new phone ? I know the newer ones are faster, and maybe have a better camera, but given that you can apply almost any rom to the N1, what other advantages are there?

  • Not really.

I'm using a HTC Desire and love it. If this thing could have a battery life of 3+ days I'd be happy for years.

As it is I can get 1.5/2 days out of it.

Nice one, Steve... Just nipped down to Cannon Street and nabbed their last Desire Z... Excellent stop-gap phone 'til the Sensation (or Holiday) comes onto T-Mob...

  • The Galaxy Tab looks tempting at £249 in the cpwh clearance.

  • ^ I'd wait...

  • im gonna get one, street fighter lan parties ftw!

  • Just ordering an ASUS Transformer

C'mon site boss, give us your review/opinions.

  • have any of you fandroid lot got a new phone on upgrade and sold it straight away?
is it worth doing? i have no idea what models are worth getting/selling?
i have my own iphone4 so can either get a sim only deal or as T-mobile have fucked me off by turning of my voicemail (and giving me a free month because of their incompetence) i think they will offer me a good deal on something.

failing that it's moving to 3 but i hear plenty of horror stories about non existent customer services.
T-mobile for all their faults have a decent 3g service that's much better than orange so O2 are the only other option.

  • Buying my dad an Acer Iconia A100 for his birthday.. Should be posted this weekend according to Amazon. When it comes and I get a chance to play around with it I'll post some details.

  • My mum got an HTC Desire on upgrade and sold it on Gumtree for £175 so it's easy cash.

  • MrSmyth - that is my plan exactly - I am keeping my current HTC HD2 and should be picking up a Samsung Galaxy S2 today which will go straight on ebay - go for about £450

  • How are you upgrading from an HD2 already?!

I didn't sell my brand new one in the end (opted for the slight upgrade of Desire -> Desire HD).

    1. Have a look on the t-mobile site (or call them up) and see what sort of deals you can get for an upgrade of various new phones.
    2. Check eBay and see how much each of the various phones in selling for.
    3. Get the one with the best deal that still offers you a good return for your money.

All obvious advice that you've probably already thought about. If you can upgrade now and can afford £35ish a month, get the latest and greatest (Sensation or Galaxy II?) and flog it.

He's on holiday I think, so we aren't going to hear back soon. I want to know too!

    +1

Probably going to get one myself. Been wanting a netbook for a while. But a tablet would be better for entertaining the kids while traveling. This looks perfect.

Needs to cope with being covered in this stuff though.
