Whilst I'm on here though, best Android app i've gotten so far is London Journey - essentially the TFL website in your hand with GPS.

Been using this a month or so, its a lifesaver.

can anyone tell me how to get the contacts I imported from my old phone into the HTC into gmail contacts? I've only got 5 contacts in gmail and it's really pissing me off!

Menu button in the All Contacts List then Import/Export, then Import from SIM card.

i'm thinking of getting an htc wildfire,
some people on this thread have mentioned that the price might drop (in general for android phones) sometime soon because of new releases etc.

is this true and is it worth waiting a month?
or have i just got the wrong end of the stick here..

The Wildfire isn't being updated though, it's already the cheaper version of the Desire.
The Desire price will drop when the Desire HD comes out.

yep, the wildfire is getting 2.2 but won't get 3 because it's processor isn't fast enough.

I think I read the idea is that android phones diverge - cheaper ones will run 2.2 and the more expensive faster ones (such as desire and galaxy s) will run 3.0 when it's released.

I meant 'updated' in terms of superceeded (Desire > Desire HD), not OS upgrades.

The biggest difference will be the 4.3" screen compared to Desire's 3.7".
Other than that it looks to have a better camera. It's running the same processor and OS.

The Galaxy Tab is still 1/3rd the speed of my Desire. Haven't they put Froyo on it yet?

I thought about getting the Desire HD so Mal could have the Desire and I could fling that Galaxy piece of shit into a brick wall somewhere but the HD isn't enough of an upgrade to tempt me. I think you should get a HD.

No. Assuming it was an Over The Air (OTA) update and not a ROM he's applied himself.
