Moto G6 Play now on Prime for £135. Do I bite?

Ive got a g6 play. Cant fault it. Fast charging and huge battery life external sd card holder. It also replaced a boot looping 5x . £135 is a decent price too, i paid £165 i think.

With the Redmi Note you're not gonna get much warranty wise, are you?

Not much if you buy from aliexpress or ebay I guess, otherwise you have usual 2 years European warranty. Dunno about smashed screens. Three UK will be selling xiaomi phones from this autumn so it must be some place to service it eventually

I just bought a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact for £299.

It's small so I can use it with one hand, and it has 12 hours of screen time.

Fuck anything else, including the XZ2 Compact with it's fucking 5" screen.

That basically looks like the current version of the Z3 Compact. That was a great phone, but I killed it after a couple of ultras and while it was getting repaired bought the XCover. I'm still using the XCover and my missus has the Sony. Mine was £275 a couple of years ago (so it was already a 2yo model when I bought it, you can only get refurbs now I think).

My Pixel has finally become a problem. Been so happy with it to date but this past week it's been a bit odd - home / back / switch buttons not appearing, when I log in it just shows a blank version of my home page, holding power and hitting restart/switch off does nothing, restart loops, can hear phone ringings but can't see phone app to pick up, voicemail doesn't dial through, various crashes (phone something or another dot something and system ui isn't responding etc). Few days it's been the odd one or two issues but today it's become unusable, constantly fucked. Factory resetting and will see if that sorts things.

Install anything new recently?

Not sure if this is the right place for it but I'm after some advice.
My iPhone 5S is on it's last legs. I've only had iPhones for the last few years but I feel like I'm sick of paying through the nose for them and them becoming outdated reasonably quickly (mainly due to me never buying the latest device).

I'm living in Canada and phone plans aren't what they are in the UK meaning that it's rare that you'll get a free phone as part of the contract. If I was looking for a bargain smartphone, what should I be looking for in the Android market?

My Z3 Compact did a TCR and TABR. It was in fact more waterproof than the Garmin 1000. They were both on the aerobars in that Montenegro storm and only the Sony was still functioning afterwards.

I wouldn't recommend biting phones, generally. Missus broke her other Z3 but it'd been reconditioned with cheap parts I reckon.

I bought it to replace my Z5 Compact, which was a bit of a mess with a notorious CPU that would get hot and drain battery to fuck.

Really disappointed with the XZ2 Compact - it's not 'compact'. At 5" I can't cover the screen with one hand, and it has no headphone jack. Only annoying thing in the XZ1 is that it has on screen buttons, but a massive empty chin at the bottom. Why not put the buttons there you cunts?

Just recently maybe every other call I make, they can't hear me (I can hear them) and have to hang up and redial.

I've not seen any drop tests. All I know is, it's worked for a couple of races, same as the Sony. Unlike the Sony it flew off my bars onto the road, thanks to some fucking prick's rumble strip shenanigans in Kansas, and carried on working.

Not a very scientific test - one unlucky drop can fuck a phone whereas drop another phone 100x in the same spot and it could be fine.
