  • There's a very easy way to reset the tamper flag. Takes 45 seconds literally. Do you use fast boot and adb?

  • I dropped my z3 compact today and smashed the back up good.

  • my nexus 4 just stopped working (okay I dropped it) is moto g gonna feel like a step down

  • i probably think about this too much, but anything other than iPhone or vanilla android is barely tolerable.

  • They're basically the same.

  • Moto G will be heavier but that's it...

  • my nexus 4 just stopped working (okay I dropped it) is moto g gonna feel like a step down>

    Don't do it.

I know I was raving about it, but my Moto G is much slower than my N4 was. I'm on the verge of returning it to Amazon if that's even possible, or punting it on eBay and getting something on contract.

  • Aye, it's how I rooted it in the first place. If you know a good tutorial then I'd be up for that.

On the other hand, I thought the reason Motorola offer an easy to to unlock bootloader is so they can collate the IMEIs of those phones that are rooted/unlocked?

  • Installed the Lollipop update this morning, hope it sorts out the intermittent glitch... PITA, it is...

  • Aye, it's how I rooted it in the first place. If you know a good tutorial then I'd be up for that.

sorry buddy i thought you were on a nexus device. I'm not familiar with Moto. Probably similar process.

concept is that after going back to stock everything you connect your device to your computer while in bootloader mode and then launch CWM recovery from your computer with the command "fastboot boot recoveryfilename.img" Your phone will then boot to the third party recovery (without replacing your stock recovery), and then you flash the reset script. The script locks the bootloader and also resets the tamper flag.

    takes less than 20 seconds.

  • Finally got my oneplus invite, if anyone still wants, PM me quick as it only lasts for 24 hours.

  • Yeah the cyanogen vs oneplus thing makes me afraid of my recent purchase. Both sides seem like total bell ends.

  • Any good recommendations for an all rounder stylus, for sketching mainly, with thin end (rather than fat rubber end), compatible with most android phones? (not specific there, I need to change phone soon and I don't know what I'll get) I considered / still consider samsung note 3 or 4, but I like the idea of using the stylus on another device if needed... other question, can these stylus be used on a PC laptop with touchscreen (Lenovo T440 in my case)
    Thanks in advance!

  • Been given an Ipad Air for work with all the email integration and stuff and begrudgingly accepted I need to reactivate that Itunes account and stuff but then. fuck me . The sound.

Sipping the Android Kool Aid makes you forget what digital moosick can be like. I had no idea. And neither do Google.

  • Fuck me Android do not have a clue about audio.

  • what? are you really saying that a software development company has no clue about audio and an iPad made you realize that?

nothing in your post has anything to do with "audio" yet somehow you...

  • I read it as: the iPad speaker are way better than the ones of his former android device, but it's hard to tell.

Also, this Cyanogen/One+ bullshit makes me facepalm.

  • That could make some sense, but then it'll depend a lot on which android device you have, I think HTC tend to have better speakers but all little devices are a bit shit at sound because they are little and so the speakers are little. Otherwise it's down to what your headphones are like and what the built in amp circuitry is like, as far as I know some are better and some are worse than apples stuff, but all pretty similar.

  • So it's basically definately maybe, though in some cases yes, no, it certainly depends.

  • You're right and wrong.

  • Not sure about that..

  • Are Apple products still notorious for having very quiet audio output?

  • If you listen very, very hard you can still hear Bono in the background.

    Trufax.
