  • Best deal on a moto g?

  • Does anyone have any hints or tips on how to make the fucking British Airways App download a boarding pass on an Android device?

  • I've done it in the past. Don't remember any problems. Sorry.

  • Not available for flights to America. Is that the problem?

  • Today my Fairphone (Android 4.2.2) started giving really odd suggestions/autocorrects, when I text. Stuff like 'Aarhus' gets autocorrected to 'Telenor rødtræ Rømø', where the latter isn't a sentence, just random words. These weird suggestions show up in a larger font than regular suggestions, as seen in the attached screenshot. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

  • Language settings for the keyboard?

  • My solution is to use SwiftKey.

Not only do I find it a better keyboard (and you really do not have to do cloud sync or anything), but if I ever get annoyed at the suggestions I just reset all personalisations.

  • Hmm, a reboot sorted it. Weird.

  • It wasn't the usual suggestions - they are just above the letters and work decently. The bigger box floating to the left was something completely new and the suggestions didn't make any sense.

  • Does anyone have any good suggestions for tough protective cases for a Nexus 7?

After dropping my iphone I've realised I'm probably going to need something tougher than the standard slim case if I want it to last a year of potentially rough use.

Just bumping this as I'm still not having a great deal of luck. There ended up only being two cases on my list:

    Poetic
Poetic Google Nexus 7 2nd Gen Case - Rugged Silicone: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    Seidio
Seidio BD2-CSK3ASN72-BK DILEX Case with Multi Purpose Cover for Google Nexus 7 - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

I'd really like something which allows me to stand the case up so in the end I went with the Seidio. I'll report back once I've got it.

  • Just looked at the Poetic blurb:

**This silicone case is perfumed with a jasmine scent.

    **What?

  • That is pretty neat.

    Although

  • I'm trying to put whatsapp on my nexus 7.

Has anyone had any luck doing this?

I know I need a second number of some sort. As per this guide I've been trying to use textplus

The message sending stage 4. failed. I tried the call option, but that failed too.

Any ideas or alternatives? FWIW I plan to route my phone, but thought I'd just give this a try first.

  • I went with textme instead and did the call.

It seems to work. Although whatsapp makes you wait ages (+30mins) before you can try again so make sure you're all set up and ready to go.

  • Has anyone had any success with installing cyanogenmod to an HTC sensation XE? It's my last resort before splashing out on a new phone.

I'm following the instructions on the cyanogenmod wiki page but I have HBOOT version 1.29.0000 which isn't supported by their method. There are lots of alternative instructions online for 1.29 but they all either require linux or in this case
i get stuck because the "temp_root" file just seems to do nothing.

Any dunce friendly instructions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Download a linux copy and run it from the cd, easy as piss and nothing gets installed, you also might end up liking linux.

  • ...cases....
    Seidio
Seidio BD2-CSK3ASN72-BK DILEX Case with Multi Purpose Cover for Google Nexus 7 - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    Got it and it's good.

I won't bother posting shit photos, this page has lots and they are all accurate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609854

Buy it if you want a very protective case and you are happy to sacrifice size. It mainly adds to the depth rather than the width/height. In total it is 22mm deep.

In black it looks a bit tacticool and as everyone says the silicon picks up lint, although I don't really care. The stand works well. All of the buttons, etc. are properly placed and you can get a charger and headphone jack in aok.

The only con imo is losing the magnetic automatic turn on feature. Although if you have passcode then it's not like you'd have instant access anyway.

Oh I know I feel your pain it was a fucking impenetrable fiasco I gave up

  • Anyone else have trouble with the National Rail app's widget? Mine crashes whenever I try to enter home and work stations whilst setting the widget up. Insta-rage.

That's on CM10.2, but I seem to recall having the same issue on the various stock version of Touchwiz I had on my S3.

  • I'm approaching the end of my contract and am thinking of replacing my trusty HTC One X, is a Nexus 5 worth getting? Or stick with the 1x for a spell and see if a 6 is announced?
    Thanks
    X

  • N5 is great, no complaints here...

There's been talk that Google are changing their strategy and scrapping the Nexus line... Not sure if true but something to bear in mind, you might be waiting forever...

  • Anybody got a nexus 7 for sells?
