  • Pretty sure I've used it in the UK

  • Not willing to try yourself? I've found phones to be surprisingly durable to amateur repairs, as long as you have a decent enough guide/video to work from and if something isn't going don't shove it.

Would rather not, this looks well complicated:

  • jesus - there's a lot to get through before you reach screen. fair enough

  • so, anyone know of a good repair place?

  • There are two hole-in-the-wall places on Atlantic Road that aren't bad, one on the left hand side of the side entrance to Granville Arcade and the other is further down right by the stairs that exit Brixton BR station...

  • Sure it's been covered, but what's a good podcast manager?

  • Wow, wifi setup on the Moto G is a right bag of cunt.

I gave up, can't use that phone in the house.

  • Sure it's been covered, but what's a good podcast manager?

    I use BeyondPod

  • I use Podcast Addict. It's okay. And free.

  • Lastpass is the password manager I use. Happy with it but you do have to pay for the mobile version (not much).

BeyondPod is the best podcast app that I found when I tried a variety of them

  • So, android makes the jump to smartwatches - http://developer.android.com/wear/index.html

Looks pretty interesting, definitely think the google now style focus on contextual information is the right way to go in this market.

  • I really like Pocket Casts, I think it's a couple of quid but it's excellent. Syncs across devices too.

  • Good week for Android

    Chromecast out for £35.

As for the watches i wonder how often they need charging.

  • Chromecast £30 in PC World, pretty much everyone in the queue was buying one

  • So... What's the deal with the Chromecast? Why does everyone want one? Does it just stream video over the internet which you choose via a Chrome browser?

  • Yes, its a wireless HDMI connection to a non-smart telly

  • I think I'm happier with my Now TV Roku box (thanks again to whoever posted the Plex hack).

  • i'm wondering if the chromecast is a good way to travel and watch stuff on hotel tv's etc where they have active hdmi ports and free wi-fi.

  • i'm wondering if the chromecast is a good way to travel for business and watch porn on hotel tv's without having to try and explain why a pay-per-view porn charge is on my expenses.

    ftfy

  • do you think a UK chromecast will be able to stream iplayer outside UK?

  • no

  • Plus you need a USB port on your TV to power it I believe, which mine doesn't have.

  • wot I thought, I'll stick with netbook and vpn, unles there is a way to install a vpn on a router?

  • Chromecast comes with a USB to 3 pin plug adapter if no USB on your telly

  • I've ordered one, don't really know why. But why not at that price.

Will be really good if another app that lets you stream local files to the TV comes out as Chrome playback seems to be hit & miss according to the internet.
