So, after trying to figure out why microphone in my Nexus 4 doesn't work for voice calls I contacted Google support and after a few emails they offered me a replacement. Now reading the small print I came across this
Your device and all applicable accessories must be returned in like-new condition.
You must take reasonable care when returning the device.
Applicable fees may be charged for damages or missing components.
Google reserves the right to reduce return value by the promotional credit amount, if applicable. My phone is a few months old and it's in great condition, but don't think I can call it "like-new".

They should replace it anyway. So what if it's been used. It's their fault it died.

actually, it's almost a year old. well yeah, fingers crossed they will not deduct anything.
Please return your device using the attached RMA within 5 days after receiving your replacement. Once your return is received and inspected by our warehouse, the authorization on your credit card will be removed.

Cunts. They took the full amount from my bank account. Now I have to wait a few weeks to get that money back.

Moto G 8Gb - a good deal ??
The nice people at Phones4U paid me £136 (the remainder of my contract) and gave me a free Moto G on a new 2yr contract that was £6/month more than my current one, but I can revert to my old tariff after 12 months. So I recon they sold me the phone for £72 paid over 1yr. And I got a free replacement back cover. I think there are deals to be had even outside of Tesco. Does this mean that there is an imminent price drop :-/
Loving the phone, more than my previous Iphone 3S or Hurwe Blaze - shocker !!
I only bought it because of the positive comments one here; thanks everybody.Looks like they want to KitKat me ASAP, I presume it's the right thing to do !?

Google Play US store has it's own edition of the Moto G for sale
noticed this too, from all reviews it appears it may not be that different to the already released version. anyway, finally picked up my 16gb moto g from tesco and i really like it, can't really see much difference to my s3 other than the camera. -

Function at the bottom of a canal, going by this thread.
Question- if your phone did survive immersion, how do you get it back?
Surely some sort of flotation bladder would be more useful than simply being waterproof?
