If you'd prefer a giant jellybean, I'll swap you my HP Touchpad (10") running CM10.

^ & ^^^^ Heh... Fat chance!
I've got the dock for the 2012 model so it'll probably end up as part of the main stereo streaming my Google Play Music subscription until I get a amp that'll do that anyway.

There were many people in the eighties and earlier who never had one.

Facebonk crashing, Chrome crashing. Handcent sending two texts. Wasn't like this with the G Nex or N4..
Sigh

My N5 is lovely.
But then I don't use Facebook, Chrome, Handcent, Google Now.
It's just a phone, with a calendar and Dolphin browser.

• #13382
I haven't had a problem with FB or Chrome.
-
• #13383
I've had a few FB, and chrome crashes but only perhaps one a day. It hasnt exactly crippled the device. Also, there is likely to be a Kit Kat update in the next few weeks and I've already had a few updates to apps that seem to have sorted most of the problems.
I reckon all will be fine in a week or two.

I'm totally sold on Firefox for Android now. So much better than Dolphin. Actually hangs onto pages so you can read them without signal.
Still hang onto Chrome and Dolphin for work and/or testing but FF is now my default browser.

Contemplating grabbing the moto g to replace my partner's less-than-perfectly-functioning Sensation. Anyone know where one would order it from for the best deal? Phones 4 U has the 8gig for £120 on pay as you go - not sure if that means it'll be locked?
-
• #13386
Expansys has, sim-free, the 8GB for £160, the 16GB £185, taking pre-orders.
-

Pfft. The 8 gig is £135 of Amazon. Phones 4 U is winning thus far, however.

I've deleted my Google+ account: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1044503?hl=en-GB
Had to happen eventually.
The loss of Latitude was really the last time I used a non-Gmail Google service on my Gmail account.
I did a data export/archive thing first, looked at what would get deleted with it... and it was all of these posts from years ago. Things from Google Buzz, a couple of silly videos on YouTube, etc. Nothing of value.
The world hasn't seem to end, my phone and everything I use still works. Apparently you don't need a G+ profile.

Just went to try, but they've integrated it with YouTube (which you more or less insinuated in your post, but I didn't clue in). Deleting one deletes the other. Which is a bit lame, as I do have YouTube subscriptions and have uploaded a few videos from holidays. Lame. Google is slowly breaking itself from the inside.

Bit of a mission finding the delete button but I got there in the end...
Thanks, site boss... x

Yeah, it's confusing.
I can't see it now (inaccessible to those without a profile) but there is a downgrade place.

Ah ha! I was able to revert Youtube to its old, non-G+ linked, self and then delete my G+ account.
(There was a lot of public info on there I wasn't really aware of. I'm glad that's gone).

I was just about to start using it.

phew bailed at exactly the right time. It's enough work keeping my FB clean from your posts.

I've done that a few months ago to keep Picasa Web and not have my photos migrate to Google +. So far so good, and I use Google for GMail & GCal.

I've been sans-G+ for quite a while now. It's annoying not being able to rate stuff (apps, businesses, youtube) but I figure "fuck it, if you want my information you can build a service I actually want to use".

Replacement N5 has arrived. It appears in Windows as a device and I can copy
pornmusic to it. Yay. Now to set it all up again. Boo!
I'm the only one never to have mobile phone?
