"Based on the leaked files, the Nexus 5 is designed by LG and runs Android KitKat 4.4. The device also comes equipped with a 4.97-inch 1080p display with a 422ppi, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a somewhat disappointing 8-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 1.2-megapixel shooter."
Hmmm not sure I really want a 5" phone

That's a diagonal measure, it's actually a sqaure and isn't 5" in any direction ;)

Supposedly they have reduced some of the bezel compared to a Nexus 4 and, i think i read a rumour that said it was more like 4.85", so i wonder how much physically bigger it will be than a nexus 4

But will it fit in my slightly stretched out N4 Murtle pouch?
I love my N4, no reason to get an N5 but I know I will...

4G and Three UK.
That's why it's worth getting the N5.

• #12685
hmm I suppose, I wasn't think when I posted that.
My debate is more will work notice I've taken the sim from an iPhone 5 and slapped it in a Nexus 5... I'm guessing they will as there's custom software on the iPhone for work :( -
• #12686
I'm not shifting networks or contracts unless Three UK match my T-Mob deal...
Which they probably won't...
Still want one tho'...

8 MP camera may be OK if the Optics is good. The LG G2 apparently has an excellent camera. One of the best right now.

Dimensions of the device are here, they're from an FCC filing so should be final, confirms the 4.96 inch screen. Also some pretty blurry pictures of it near some rulers here

not sure I like the look of the fingerprint trap back of the N5 - I liked the all glass N4
-
• #12690
Yeah it's a bitch to get a fingerprint onto glass.
Huh?

My worry with phone size is one handed use. I want to be able to pull the notifications down with my thumb whilst the phone rests on my pinky.

The glass back on the N4 was my biggest bug bear.
The bloody phone kept sliding and dropping from every surface I put it on. I swear that even if I had a spirit level and proved a surface was flat that glass back would still manage to cause it to slide off.

that is true - I thought I had developed a poltergeist! bloody thing silently slid off bedside cabinet whilst I was reading one night - then did it again 5 mins later......and this was just on a very very tiny incline caused by sitting it on the case...

^This times a million, I'm amazed that either sides not smashed yet after the numerous times its slipped off the sofa. If the price is right I'll upgrade and give the N4 to my GF.

I wonder how we will all sell these to our girlfriends!

I wonder why its a good idea to give something we find inferior to our GF
Sounds like sexism -
