Actually, just use CityMapper for anything to do with transport in London.

Probably been asked elsewhere, but an app that will turn GPX files into voice navigation?
I've been using OsmAnd a bit and it seems reasonable...

Thanks! Installed, seems to be setup, and going to give it a go for a ride into Surrey a bit later.

It worked quite well - thanks! It seemed to stop advising on two occasions (both as I approached Crystal Palace, strangely enough), but worked like a charm once out of civilization.

How did you download tracks? I can't find any option to download a route...
Otherwise it looks really nifty.

It was a route on here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
Exported as GPX, and copied it into the apps directory (in it's own special directory). It's not particularly intuitive or straightforward, but it works.

ah cheers for that. Seems a bit odd in this day and age having to create your own folder and move files about by hand... but worked a treat.

Recommendations
Device owners should be extra cautious in identifying the publisher of the app they want to download.
Enterprises with BYOD implementations should use this news to prompt all users to update their devices, and to highlight the importance of keeping their devices updated.
IT should see this vulnerability as another driver to move beyond just device management to focus on deep device integrity checking and securing corporate data.

hmmm it seems as though google has put an end to sync with outlook.
Any other alternatives? I've really relied on that for the last few years to sync my work appointments with personal commitments.
-
• #11765
You syncing email? Do it all through gmail?
-
• #11766
Well I was only using it to sync calendars. So anything I add to my work calendar (outlook) would automatically appear in my Gmail Calendar.
-
• #11767
Stick it all directly into gmail calendar I guess.
-
• #11768
Hmmm - but then it won't remind me when I'm on the work PC will it? Balls. Worked fine for years and now they go and screw it up.

Chrome plug in of some sort?

My work outlook and google calendar are synching as far as I can see. When did it stop synching yours spenceey?
-
• #11772
Basically Google have done away with any new downloads of the Google calendar sync.
Managed to find the link on the old softwarepedia website (something like that) and it's working fine now.
I've also got the .exe on Dropbox so if anyone else has the same problem let me know and I'll send you the link to download it from my dropbox.

I'm now running my phone over IVPN as per VB's earlier suggestion so everything should be encrypted = less risk of packet sniffing.
