Had my N4 about a week now, absolutely love it.
What carriers/deals are people on? I've got a £10 a month Vodafone but data is quite limited on it. Mostly I'm attached to WiFi so not a huge problem.

Once my commitment is up in a month or two I'm switching to this:

That £12 bag from gg is ideal. Been doing me well since last year.

I've emailed google back to let them sort their shit out. Will see what they say. I can probably get all 3 and sell to people "on here".

^^^That's pretty good.
Used to be, on phone included contracts, that you could negotiate some pretty spectacular deals by threatening to leave. You can cite that deal and see what happens. Not sure they would do all that much to keep a £10 a month customer but if they match it could save the hassle of porting your number.

I'm on a Three 12 month sim only contract (4 months to go). 600 minutes, 1gb data and 5000 txts. It's £12.90 a month, but I got a quidco offer which netted me £120 cashback :)
When it runs out I may opt for GiffGaff £15 goodybag, as I'm going to give Google Music a try.

Speaking of which, anyone using Google Music? Any good? Many drawbacks?
-
• #10587
Yeah, I use Google Music all the time on my tablet, phone and at work.
On my two portable devices I load stuff up over WiFi then just use that as I don't have unlimited data. At work it works great through the browser. Only complaint is the lack of ability to upload tracks from my phone or tablet - I find I do much more of my browsing on the tablet these days and it would be useful to upload tracks from there than having to fire up the computer.

Got a spare battery for a Wildfire going for free if anyone wants it?
-
• #10589
I'm pretty pleased with the deal I have from 3 - £25 rolling 1 month, unlimited tethering and fuckloads of everything else. I use it as my primary internet at home, must get through at least 20gb a month.

Definitely giving it a try, although I plan to use my work's mega connection to upload :)

Unless you have all your music on the work computer it won't work.
-
• #10592
And even on a 2.5 meg upload connection it took over 3 days to upload my colection (15,000 tracks mind you)
-
• #10593
Google Music is great, just the uploading at the start will take you a looooooong time.
-
• #10594
Yes. Massive pain, but worth it.
Although I find it disconcerting hearing different versions of things. I fear change.

I plan to bring it in on a portable hard drive. My work's connection is 10gb, I have 1gb to the desktop! (I work at large uni, so we have SuperJANET access etc) :)
Or, did you mean that it does something clever with where you store your music and it's tied to it somehow?
-
• #10596
It does matching with the Play Music store now doesn't it? So it shouldn't take as long uploading your collection.
-
• #10597
something like 20,000 songs I believe.
-
• #10598
Oh wait, that's the limitation on how many songs you can upload...

Great news! Your order on Google Play has shipped.
Should be arriving at work on Monday I hope! :)

Got my Nexus 4 today. Stoked.
Not sure about the other one, that, apparently, I'm going to get sometime soon. If anyone wants it, I will accept the delivery and keep it for you or otherwise I will reject the delivery and send it back. Let me know.
£400??
Doh!
