Are there any unwritten rules about attempting to shag your mates sister?
Try not to see the family resemblance, unless you also fancy your mate.

In an entirely rhetorical situation in which I find myself with a drunken singer/songwriter and he attempts to taint my absolutely intact purity, is it acceptable to punch him in the face or would it be wrong to damage the face of a professional entertainer?

or would it be wrong to damage the face of a professional entertainer?
To the extent that he is an entertainer (a moot point, but we'll go along with the hypothetical), I hardly think his face is his fortune, so a broken nose is unlikely to affect his earnings, and he could hardly sound any worse so the functional injury is just as irrelevant as the aesthetic one.
