3M Scotchlite reflective. Very good, and comes in black - reflects white.

Pot it with Sugru - although if you ever have to replace the switch, it would probably be sacrificial - so it would pay to leave longer tails.

Plan to put it in on my mudguards and seat stays
I still have yards of orange

Waterproof on-off-on switches are available already. Why bother trying to do the back of that one, when water will get in the rocker?

is anyone able to tell me the type of bearing needed for Prime RD011 hubs?
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/prime-rd010-rear-hub-bearing-kit/rp-prod145131
never been overwhelmed by the bearings in there but mine deffo need replacing and i don't want to use the standard ones if possible.

Can you pull the hub apart and look on the seals?

will do later, found in the questions they are 5267-2RS, but want to double check as i suspect they might be 15267...

guys, what 26" semi slick tires close to 2" and not super heavy would you recommend for city riding? (right now i am using the old mtb tires and they draaaaaag....)

Kojaks, city jet, big Apple, schwalbe. I think Conti do some contact in that size, although I've no tried them.

Cheers.
Do you have a link to something suitable?
I was looking at this one because it's small. It will be for heated grips, so needs 3 positions.
The main thing is some sort of enclosure for the exposed section as that will face the wind/weather. Visual eatness/tidiness is also a factor.
(obvs the switch picture is the 2 position rather than the 3)

Do Halo still make Twin Rails in that size?

Vittoria Revolution G+, tenner from On-One?

15267
Would make more sense than 5267.

thx! i will see the cheap+light option!
-
• #98692
thx for the tip! they are cheap! cant find the weight for those... 500+ grams . i would like more 400g ... i know i know, 200g in total is not too much savings for a one 15kg+ mtb ...
400+ is more like 1.5" .... :-/extra question, would the 200g difference be noticeable if i would go for 1.5" instead of 2" ? ride quality wise i mean

Sport Contact Speed as well.

You'll notice how much worse skinny tyres are.

• #98695
i think i will go for city jet in 2" , skin wall will definitely be lighter and faster, just like red bicycles are always faster
-
• #98696
Worth nothing that City Jets are ok on dry pavement and terrible/terrifying on everything else.

Schwalbe Big Apple is probably the prime choice if you favour ride and handling over maximum protection. There are various degrees of Marathon if you want to up protection at the cost of ride and handling.

thx! this bike will be used with good weather almost exclusively, but the cargo is most valuable!
when you say terrible you mean front wheel skidding all over the place and losing traction?? :-/ maybe i should reconsider the skin wall and go for the Big Apple like @mdcc_tester is saying... -

We use big apples on the work big dummies, they're great and we rarely get punctures.

Any alternative to Cinelli Mash Volee Gradient Shield Handlebar Tape (white/black)?
How would I go about making a weather-proof back cover for this switch?
