Thanks, yes there is. I think it is the interface between the bearing and axle that is creaking (or possibly between bearing and cup). Shimano I thought used a delrin top hat type shim between the axle and bearing which is probably better able to minimise any potential fit issues.
Happy to swap out the bearings for new but not worth it if it's a bit of a design issue. Have you had a good experience with the Hope BB? -

It's Canyon, so not only is there enormous mark up on "wear and tear" items, you also get to deal their painful customer service to boot.

Any photo? Yeah no issues with mine.
Ate the bearings dry? Any play?
-
• #98630
There's no obvious play, it only creaks with quite a bit of force going through cranks. Have greased the axle (and bearings) which kept things quiet until hitting the first hill when it came back. Think I will attempt a bearing swap. Thanks for the feedback.

BB threads all good?

Yeah, cleaned the threads on the cups & shell before installing. The BB I swapped out was fine too.

What are the chances of me winning the Euromillions compared to the UK lottery?
Although I'd like a £120m I'd happily take a tenth of that if it was more likely (although I understand that they're all very unlikely).
What's the best bang for your buck in winning millions of pounds with minimal effort and expenditure?

Neither will happen.

Yeah actually compared to the lottery it's probably a pretty good... 'investment'.

UK lottery jackpot is easier to win, but if you do score on the euro millions remember your old mate moocher

In pure mathematical terms, a lottery jackpot which has rolled up to the point where the total prize fund exceeds the total staked on a particular draw is the only possible winning solution. In v1.0 of the UK lottery, this could occur if it rolled over for 3 weeks, because the jackpot would be distributed to lower prize tiers in the event of no jackpot win. In lotteries which keep rolling forever, the maths is a bit more tricky and I haven't calculated it, but AFAIK Euromillions has a 200M Euro jackpot limit, and the surplus prize fund gets distributed to lower tiers after it reaches the limit, so there might be circumstances in which there was an extremely low probability that the prizes actually paid out didn't exceed the stakes.

You have nearly the same chance of winning whether you play or not....

I know that if I'm meant to win it'll be with a ticket that I've found on the ground.

There was a book, factual not fiction, about 2 kids who ran a drug ring in the States and it was a bit techy.
Any help? -

Any cheaper integrated appliance companies to either go for or avoid. Here's a few were considering:
Hi Sense
Beko
Candy
Indesit
Cookology
Econolux
ElectriQCheers

Beko have always been okay for me.

Have a Beko washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a Hi Sense fridge freezer. Beko stuff is now 7 years old and still going without any faults or repairs. The Hi Sense fridge freezer is 5 years old and generally great but after two years the LCD temperature display on the fridge door stopped working. I would absolutely buy from both companies again though.

Looking for the best option mudguard vise for my S&S-coupled bike, i.e. something that actually fits in the bag. Maybe something that's detachable and were the stays are easily taken off.
Is some Rinko black-magic or similar my first option? -

I've only just found out about the flikr 1k photo limit.
Is there a way to download my photos, or do I have to pay for 1 month to save them, and then download them?
Cheers.

Cheers but unfortunately it perpetually takes me to the "pay us or we delete your photos" page.

There should be a dust cover/shim between the cranks and the bearings.
