Hibernating or just resting?
Shuffling about and curling into a ball if I try to move it.

Tricky. It's now shambled behind a huge stack of sheet metal I can't shift without moving a car which is up on axle stands and has no wheels.

Oh, it wandered off after a while. Then it wandered back in again, but I spotted it, so I ran over and shooed it out of the door again with @Cycliste's old touring frame. Then I made a mental note to keep the garage door shut. Last I heard it was shuffling around in the garden under one of the rose bushes.
tl;dr hedgypig fine

This might help

You could build a mini-garage outside the actual garage for the hedgehog.

Cardboard box = prison to most animals.
Crumpled newspaper + ready to hibernate hedgehog might = contented hedgehog as it can make an insulating nest. -

Ah, thanks.
I have just read up a bit on building hedgehog homes

Tin of cat food should provide an effective lure, then the traditional box on stick?
-
• #94221
Hedgehogs need all the help we can offer them.
I can't remember the last time I saw a live one, and this year, I think I've only seen one road casualty. -
• #94222
Thanks. I ran a fully cycle with dirty dishes and they seem to be hot and clean. Can't be good having the thermostat in the wrong place as water must be ingressing there.
Lesson: never press stuff

Does adding rivnuts weaken a frame? I know the typical answer is "no, within reason" but I mean outwith reason, like 10 bottle cages (that's 20 holes drilled) on a cheap cromo frame. Would steel rivnuts, epoxied in be strong enough to do a) normal road stuff like dropping off curbs b) mountain biking?
(they're much cheaper than braze-in ones)

These kinds of questions can only be answered by you wearing a helmet cam and pre-applying to the Darwin Awards.
