They haven't changed much since the late 80s. I'd wear black vans only back then (or boots/suede shoes). I hated white trainers - too mainstream.

were you known as black van man?
-
• #9055
No, they called me gay.

Depends on the shoe, but I think you can get pads that fit shimano shoes. Thats what my road bike has

http://www.drtube.com/schematics/fender/champ-5c1-schem.gifDepends do you know what you are doing?

i can solder well enough, but i've never built anything audio related except for a radio when i was about 10.
there's only about 20 parts though, and i've only ever looked inside and done minor fixes on modern amps - what do you mount all the components to?

DT Aerolite ~£70/20
Sapim CX-Ray ~£50/20Therefore, CX-Rays are cheap.

Circuit board

could i not just use stripboard though?
or just plain board, and wire each component point to point with some copper stereo wire?
apologies if i'm being stupid. -

ok, specifically can you put Swiss Stop Yellow pads into SRAM Force brake shoes?
Anyone done this?
-
• #9067
I have put swiss stop black into rival brake shoes, which doesn't answer your question at all.
-
• #9068
I'm prepared to bet that both pads and shoes are the same.
I shall put my money where my mouth is, and buy two sets of yellow pads and one set of green pads'n'shoes.
Yellows can go in the Force shoes.
Fingers crossed.

Add another hundred and you can build it yourself based on a nicer frame with the actual decals telling you what tubing it was made from.
Each to their own.
They're wank...
...but i like them (the green ones that is)
