Another question - are all businesses staffed and run by absolute fuckpigs? Or just the ones we seem to work with? Are you another business owner? Are literally all of your clients a fucking nightmare when it comes to parting with money? Are you a fucking nightmare when it comes to parting with money?

At this time of year the mice will be trying to find somewhere warm, so even if you trap and release them they'll just come back. Welcome to the country side.
Make sure there's definitely nothing for them to eat, not even the tiniest scrap. Even then it will take a while for them to move out. -

There's more than one reason for being late when it comes to paying for stuff, and you probably want to have an idea of which one applies when deciding how to proceed. There are undoubtedly some out-and-out arseholes out there, who would rather see you starve to death than miss out on a day's interest on the money they owe you but have in the bank, but I don't think they are the majority.

Any advice on which cartridge bearings to get for wheels to be used on the road?
Is it better to get the Enduro branded ones 'made specially' for bicycles or will SKF / FAG be just as good?

Got some SR Apex cranks. Pretty sure they are JIS, but not 100%, I have a few SR bb’s that are ISO. Bike is Italian threading and cranks take 119cm bb. Could I use a Velo Orange bb (found one at 118cm, Italian) for it, it’s JIS. Prefer to use a sealed one, as it’s for a friend who won’t be able to maintain it herself.

I would say generally, if you're not in a position to pay suppliers in full and on time, then don't be in business. That seems logical to me. But perhaps that's why I'm not rich. I can however sleep at night. Or I would were it not for the gnawing hunger as my family and I go without food again.

I operating a sliding scale, fellow small businesses get paid promptly and in full whilst at the other end of the scale; I need at least 2 red letters from HMRC or other large corporates before I consider paying them

A bad advertising add on that then disappeared is nowhere near as invasive and (imo) ethically dodge as Google products.
Plus, its only redditors that gave a shit. What privacy has that app (which has to be turned on) breach?
That being said I am using chrome on an android device.
I hate it, this GBoard keyboard can gtfo
iOS or bust while we're here too ;) -

I understand that the first bit means that the case is due to start on the 16th or 17th and that the parties will be informed late on the 15th whether they will be needed next day or the day after. Is that right? 10 hours presumably means two days? Is that right? In other words the case is very likely to be 16th to 17th Jan, or 17th to 18th Jan?
Yes, correct. Although there's always a chance that it won't happen on either date due to them finding out at the last minute they don't have enough judges to go round.

In that case it's far more likely to go ahead as planned. Almost certain to do so, in fact.

The day before it's listed it'll be shown in the Court of Appeal daily cause list . Hedonic regression of relativity values, eh? Sounds like a fun two days...

If you mean print at 300 pixels per inch (dpi isn't the same thing at least in the print world) then that's simple in e.g. Photoshop, but if the image is 1080 pixels across, then the print will be 3.6" across.
If you want to print the existing image bigger, it won't be at 300 ppi.
If you want it bigger and 300 ppi, then you need to resample (i.e. interpolate) to add more pixels. Whether this makes any visible difference is very dependent on your output process, paper, etc.
Remember "300 ppi for print" is a rule of thumb for photographic images on high quality paper viewed close up. It doesn't apply for large posters, banners, etc.
What are you doing with the print?

Anyone recommend a simple android phone app that will help me log/monitor spending? I was thinking something like Keep but where you can put costs into lists that you set the categories for. Making a spreadsheet would be fine, but my phone won't cope with Excel.
Maybe I just keep daily notes and then add to a spreadsheet on a computer? But I feel like it wouldn't get done. -

I like Bankin'
So ANOTHER client owes us a sum of money.
Language in T&Cs speaks of 'without prejudice'. Say I want to chivvy them along. Would I be prejudicing myself if I gave them an offer between small claims court and a mediator? I.e. could it be inferred under English contract law that by offering one of those two solutions if they're not planning to pay me that I'm releasing them of any obligation to do so?
