Just got a suspicious email regarding PayPal security, I get these every so often however this one caught my attention as it came from the legit PayPal service email. Logged in online and not getting any messages there so do I just ignore?

it came from the legit PayPal service email
It probably didn't. I had one the other day with the correct email address as a spoofed From: header, but inspecting the rest of headers showed it was fake.

Call them if you're not sure

Thats what I normally expect but when I copy the address or create apply, it still shows the legit PayPal email. I'm pretty sure it's spam but how do they pull that off?

If you look in the header what domain has the SPF check been done against?
Every field in an email apart from the sending IP is declarative, however if you have an email account with any of the major ISP's it should be impossible to receive an email that has "@paypal.com" in the visible From field due to the deployment of a protocol called a DMARC.

What is the exact From address?

Also, who is your email provider?

Is there any 650b tyre with knobbly tread, narrower than 1.9"?
I've asked on the tyre thread but no response yet...

@Dammit @stevo_com, this is what it shows when I click on the email. Usually if it was dodgy the email at the top of the list would be something random however in this case it's still showing the legit PayPal email.
If you look in the header what domain has the SPF check been done against?
Not sure what this means sorry, I'm not email savvy.
Also, who is your email provider?
It's a iCloud one.

this is what it shows when I click on the email.
Did you mean to include a screenshot?
What was the full From address?
iCloud should honour the DMARC policy for paypal.com which would delete any fraudulent emails before they reach your inbox.

Difficult to say then without seeing the rest of the email and the full header.
That domain (paypal.com) has a specific DMARC policy that tells compliant receivers (iCloud being one) to delete emails that fail certain authentication checks. So, this could either be a legitimate email or a dodgy one that Apple have let slip through the net.
If you really wanted to dig further into it, you could work out how to view the full header, copy that into a .txt file and send it to me and I could review it for you. PM me for an email address (I am not a Nigerian prince).

Works fine, thanks!

Cool. I use the same trick for Facebook to send messages as the messenger app is so dirty.

Portable air conditioning units. Anyone ever used a small one for home for one room? If so any recommendations and what sort of thing I should I look out for?

The frame of my rollers has rusted - I can see bubbles underneath the paint and some rust bleeding through. Do I just sand it back and apply primer + paint? Do I even need paint or will bare primer protect it?

I bought one last year. It does the trick but I bought it specifically for the bedroom (converted loft) and though it cooled it down it was too noisy to sleep through. For the rest of the house it would be fine.

Noise is fine - it'll be pre-sleep cool down (hopefully). What model did you get?

A big Homebase jobbie that was a couple of years old when I bought it on a whim. Luckily the condensation pipe reached through to the en suite shower to drain off other wise that might have been an issue with this machine. It is identical to this.
