Thanks all for the Moulton answers. Travel-wise, a demountable bike would be fine. The key thing is the weight. I thought that Moultons were considerably lighter than they actually are... So perhaps a red herring.

Interesting. was previously sold here for 250.
How do you come to that one? -

Maybe a Fiio player is what you're looking for? They're rated pretty highly amongst so called audiophiles

You can put a 128gb card in a clip so that probably covers the bigger.

Bit too big and posh. I'm just looking at cheap stuff for cycling with.

I'm sure they said there was a limit on external cards for Clips but I've not used one. I might have a spare card here I can test it out with.

There is in theory but if you format them correctly it seems to be ok.

Well, it's not light but isn't heavy either, it weight a little under 11kg for the TSR30.

Do you have access to a vehicle? A lot of stables will give it away if you can bag it up and take it away. Our allotment society get a delivery from the local police stables every few months, check to see if the met have anything close to you.

Im gna be off bike still for at least another month, and am now back in full time, need to be in office work.
I cannot make heads and tails of tfl capping vs travelcards. My commte is balham to camden. 3 to 2 via zone 1 so hitnthe zones 1-3. For simplicity say i never leave 1-3.
It seems to cost £6.60 a day just getting the tube, but being off bike and not being able to walk far ive been using the tube and buses a fair bit in the evenings and weekends.
Whats the cheapest option? Is just carrying on using the 1 contactless card more or less equivaent?

Walking, but that's 4 extra hours a day you lose. Running would make it probably 'only' 2h lost
£1.50 each way on the bus, but at ~1h20 each way that's an extra 1h40 each day you lose and it's probably not much slower to run - 7.5 miles each way, so about what, an hour and a half?
7 day z1-3 travelcard is £7.74/day if you only use it weekdays. If you make a £5.70 journey each weekend then it breaks even with PAYG
You could save £2 a day or so by running from Elephant & Castle I reckon. It's 3.5 miles to Camden Town.
Then again, if you're off the bike maybe running's out of the picture too?

The contactless card automatically caps at day/week travelcard if they work out cheaper. A monthly travelcard may work out about £20 cheaper if you're using the tube heavily every day.

Here's my adventure with a TSR30 which was fun whilst it lasted.
Firstly, they're not that light. I got mine down to about 10kgs with quite a bit of effort. Depending on your whip around, if you can stretch to £6k+ then you can start looking at the light models like the Speed etc.
Whilst the suspension is great, be prepared for it to suck out a lot of peddling effort. There's a balance between having suspension which absorbs all the bumps in the road, and it sapping out all of your momentum. It works great if you have an amazingly smooth peddling style. I alas don't. At 30kph I got a lovely bobbing effect.
They're also not that packable. Whilst they can pack down, be prepared to pretty much completely disassemble the entire bike to travel with it. I'm pretty much at expert level in terms of travelling with bikes, I've done Dahon's, full size bikes n' bags and Brompton's but they don't pack that small unless you go for the New Series.
But, saying all that, they're great fun. Just don't expect the miracle bike.

Looking for m5 bolts, with a flat head. Bolt length needs to be at least 27mm with 5mm or more of thread.
Anyone know where I can get these in the UK?

LBS did a seemingly top job of servicing my commuter bike. I didn't notice any problems on the short trip home after collecting it before the weekend, but after a couple of initially very smooth and trouble free miles this morning I encountered two problems that I hadn't experienced prior to the service - rear derailleur threw the chain, getting it jammed between dropout and cassette, and the front canti is failing to spring back properly and is rubbing the wheel.
I was expecting there might be some tweaks to be made once the new gear and brake cables have stretched a little but I'm not sure if these problems are cable related... unless I'm mistaken?!
I was wondering what the best course of action is.... Go back to the same shop and pay for an adjustment? Go elsewhere and pay for it to be sorted? Would I be being a bit of a shit if I go back and ask them to sort it for free?

Back to the shop and mention issues.

guys, i keep touching the bb7 rear pad outside adjuster with my heel and it makes the disc rub, is there a smart way to "fix" this?
this is happening without clip-less shoes and i guess the foot wont move sideways as much when i eventually upgrade this bike to clip-less. -
