Any suggestions?
I had some good success with a bench vice. Clamp the pedal really hard, and then stick in a allen key socket connected to an extension bar, as if you were to try to take the pedal off. Give the back end of the extension bar a good few whacks with a hammer. I found the shock and vibration unbound the pedal.

How can I find out what the name of this shop is?
Its hard to Google because it seems that Venice's only disco is on the same street.

Put the allen key in a vice and lever the crank arm.

Put the allen key in a vice
Don't even use an Allen key. Use a hex bit with a large T-bar handle, then you can apply thrust along the thread axis and torque around it at the same time while avoiding any thrust or torque in other axes which will tend to lever the drive bit out of the axle. Since it's easiest to do this with the crank attached to the bike, you'll probably want an extension bar to allow the T-handle to clear the drive side.
Remember, since nobody has mentioned it yet, that removing a left pedal from the right of the bike requires an anticlockwise motion.

Don't hit anything that's not impact rated unless you like having shards of hardened steel flying around the room.

what am I searching for
½" square drive sliding T-handle. If your sockets are ⅜" or ¼", get an adapter too rather than a smaller T-handle, then you'll always have the big drive for any future big jobs. If you ask in a decent shop they should have one, or buy from any of the many online shops, e.g.

Does the GPU have HDMI out? If so you can route the audio through that and cut out the conversion box...

Anyone used mismatched chainrings?
have a rotor outer ring and looking to replace the inner. The rotor one is $$$ so was looking at cheaper alternatives.
Will there be a drastic change is shift quality?

The inner ring makes no difference, all the magic happens on the outer ring.
There might be a slight change if the new inner is clocked differently from the original, so be sure to check and if necessary rotate it to line up in the way the outer is expecting to be fed.

Buy a really cheap graphics card with HDMI (although I'm surprised that any motherboard with an i7 doesn't have a HDMI port).
Your current method is always going to be a bit crap in terms of quality.

Afraid not, the GPU has a DVI-out, which is converted to VGA before being converted again into HMDI.
^Sounds convoluted and most likely the reason for the sync issues...I just didn't have a DVI>HDMI converter to hand...

Good idea! Any recommendations? It's been at least a decade since I've been in the know on PC tech.
