I had the same issue and Halfords was the only place I could find that I could walk into that sold that adapter. Screwfix, Toolstation and assorted DIY shops near Gt Portland St drew a blank.
It does move the wrench a bit further from the bolt and leads to a bit of extra wobble, but it's not a massive issue. I was using it with the Shimano external BB tool and it did the trick.

Is there a retrofit full length chainguard that would work with a 1x9 (44t front, 11-32 rear) setup?

Hi folks, Planning on having an open plan electronics lab built for 20 of our people. But with movable stud walling to allow offices to be created/moved. Much head scratching on what approach to take on power and data distribution - want to be able to reconfigure the layout as the departments evolve, with as little trailing cable as possible - all suggestions welcomed!

just being unnecessarily cautious
The forces that a frame pump can exert are nothing compared to what x kg of human sitting on top of the bike leads to when wrenching bars to climb a hill or set off from the lights, or when you hit a pothole in the road, etc.

Thanks Ed, lengthening the straddle worked a treat.

I need a stepped ferrule for a gear cable (chainstay to mech) but I think I'd like to get an assortment. Any idea where might sell a variety pack?

are Sidis the only shoes with replaceable parts? Mountain bike versions. The soft strap on mine has gone bang. I'm weighing up buying new ones/replacement parts.

Is there a way of pouring the leftover crumbs and bits of hazlenut from your packet of boasters into your mouth without the bits from the top half of the packet going in your eyes?
Cut the packet in half with a pair of scissors, and then pour in two stages.

The replacement heels will only last another 10 fucking minutes though before they break as well.

Exposed suspended trunking is well cool, along with exposed rdbrick feature walls.

I have a pair of Sidis that I need to bin - you can take them apart if you need spares.

Qustion for the hivemind:
Im looking for a chainring bolt that does not have a hole through it.
The closest I have found is this:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/componentstandem-specific-parts/quad-drive-inner-ring-bolt-stainless-steel-m8-x-075-18mm-each/But if anyone has seen a type of (aluminum) chainring bolt that is not drilled the whole way through that would be great.
^ See these bolts have a hole the whole way through. This is the wrong :)Reasons: Chainring bolts have the same size threading as some disc brake caliper fittings and I want to use it as a plug.

Flying my bike over to France in a month or so, Probably with Ryanair. The website states that only the bike must be inside the box, that's not really any good for touring. Does anyone have experience of this? did you manage to get through with other stuff in the box?

use cardboard box from a bike shop here, pack it, arrive and chuck it. Find a bike shop where you're flying hom from and do the same thing there.
Ive put all my panniers etc in the box with the bike before as padding, just took my pack bacg as hand luggage.

anyone?
could a frame pump damage a frame? I've bought a zefal hxp and the pressure it exerts is quite a lot when compressed to fit under my tt. Might this damage the frame, or am I just being unnecessarily cautious?
