There's some other pretty fancy cable routing on it, I guess the only way to find out is to buy it...
-
• #76703
I wouldn't be surprised if it was for some sort of speedo or something. It only has a fitting for a right hand lever too so I imagine it's been custom built to exactly how the rider wanted it
-
• #76704
Imagine this but with the cable going via the fork leg instead of straight out of the bottom of the steerer

I've set up an XT M786 FD (advertised 14t capacity) on my girlfriend's 42/26 and she's not died yet

front the seller:
Hi there & well spotted!!! There is a cable routing tube going from the top of the fork crown inside the right hand fork blade which exits just above the right hand fork end. This was to route a computer cable from the sensor on the front fork end up inside the fork blade & exit up from the fork crown towards the computer "head", which was sited on the aerobars. It gave a "cleaner" more aero route for the cable.

Probably one of the very early Avocet bike computers which came out in the early 80s

Specialised dolce size 48. I think it's tiagra. What's a good secondhand price?
-
• #76710
Depend how old it is, and what Tiagra it is too.
Also how worn the chain and brakepads are.

@greenhell
what's best for telephon/internets as a visitor to ZA? should i pay vodafones extortionate data roaming or buy a sim card out there?
should i just buy a round 3 pin usb plug out there?
-
• #76712
Ride it and see if it falls out
(only two days late)
-
• #76713
^^ to be honest, i wouldn't bother getting a local sim card at all. presumably you're not going to be doing THAT much phoning about and even if you do, it's not going to sting you that much. presumably where you're staying has a Wi Fi connection - most things can be taken care of over the internet tbh. also, vodafone are a shower of cubic zircuntia who will rinse you for as much lucre as they can - i know, i used to work for them.

What is the correct pronunciation of either and neither?

What is the correct pronunciation of either and neither?
Pronounce the diphthong as though you're German
-
• #76717
...and the consonant digraph as though you're English. Whether you rhotacise the final syllable is up to you/your chosen variety of English.
-
• #76718
However, I pronounce them /eɪthɜːr/ and /neɪthɜːr/.

It's probably about 4 years old, barely used.
I just want to know lower and upper bands, my sister will probably punt it on to whoever wants it at the lower price.
Or I will end up punting it on here. -

and then call the whole thing off?

Is ZA one of Three's "feels like home" countries and is it too late to get a PAYG Three SIM and meet the conditions for FLH?
-
• #76722
£250, maybe £300, worth taking it to a LBS and ask them for their assessment (usually free).

What's with all the spray.bike shills at the moment?

Anyone heard of this lot? They sound a bit "Mall Ninja" from their site: https://portal.ops-trust.net/

Ti saddle rails seem to be slipping on a Hope seatpost, despite being torqued to spec. Giving everything a good clean tonight, assume a thin layer of assembly paste on the rails might help too/wouldn't do any harm?
It's this and unfortunately the photos don't show where it exits...
