Shame on you for bringing such things to our attention. SHAME.

fingers crossed i don't die
Despite the name, very few people actually die from using a suicide hub. I'm not even sure that anybody has died from Spinergy death wheels.

by spinning the hub you can increase or decrease the tension of the Kevlar
-
• #76681
to be fair, when I kept on turning it to see what happened, the kevlar was pulled away from the flange of the hub a bit. It might actually of been doing something
Sadly the russians didn't like to document how anything they made works

Further question - is there any way to tell if a Shimano Octalink BB is Italian oe English thread, once its in the frame? Alternatively, Bianchi Mega Exo Pro from the 90s. Likely to be Italian thread?

Thread size should be stamped on the NDS cup

Is there a reference guide for FD capacities somewhere for mtb FDs?
I have a 38-24 XT crankset, and I want to use a 22t inner ring to get a little more lower range for touring. I'm concerned my FD won't handle a jump that high.

What's this cable guide for?

Not unless it was a 24h TT specific bike.
Apart from a dyno all I can think off is a speedo, but that seems excessive.
Early disc brake?

• #76698
wired speedo is entirely plausible

Unusual way of mounting a reflector or light?

Where does the other end come out?
It's not intentional.
