Life is a bit shit.
From
TB in people, decreased services, bedroom taxes, pollution, war, famine, poverty, etc. and so on.The world has never been a better place to live than it is now, and it's only getting better.

It's easy to see the bad because a: that's all anybody ever wants to talk about and b: we have such a hugely increased access to information compared with even a decade ago that there's an order of magnitude more bad news to read if you care to look. -

Off course peoples expectations are far greater these days but that does not negate the fact that the "good old days " were far from that for the majority of the population.

I question that.
Plastic piles are far higher than they've been. Fish stocks are diminishing.I agree there are many reasons to be happy, vaccinations against hpv, no more smallpox, increased understanding of fertility.
There are also many reasonsto be unhappy, polio npot being eradicated by vaccine programs due to war and propaganda, famine, bullies, poor sexual health in developed nations.
I disagree with your point it is only getting better. I question your point about whether there has been a better time to live. Perhaps it is only awareness, perhaps it is only the fact I am one of the incredibly lucky people on the planet to be earning more than $1 a day that allows me to be aware of the state of the world.

Anyway, I did some exercise and ate some eggs. The rest of the world can get to fuck. I feel alright now.

Cheeky wank will sort out any other bad thoughts.

Will it purge the bad thoughts during wanking? Or will I need another one for that?

Have tried this - doesn't seem to work. Definitely not good for collar and cuffs.

Seatposts: I want to change mine from silver (cheap Deda alu) to black on my road bike for aesthetic reasons.
Weight is not a factor. Comfort level is currently high(ish) with a Brooks Swift.
Is there any benefit of going to carbon over alu? Any benefit of springing out for a Thomson or anything a bit blingy? I don't get spending lots of seatposts and stems but perhaps I'm missing something.
