Are the list pages still up to date?
Alternatives to Dolan FXE? -

So Google has thrown up nothing.
I have a rear 6800 quick release and need a front one but short of ordering one from overseas, nothing UK based is coming up.
It's a two part question really, why is there a fucking shortage of front 6800 skewers and anyone have the inside track on where I might be able to procure said item?
You may have my first born if you can help.
Love

The Thai place near halfords is very nice. In fact all the thai in Ealing has proved to be lovely. Its the only place we bother with now that the Spanish place closed down.

- If one is in the US what bike bits are cheap?
- Assuming power metres appear in the answers to 1. Should I get one or would it be wasted on me?
- Houston seems horrible for cycling, or have 2 weeks off the bike
3a) take own bike, cheaper but hassle or hire one. I probably won't get to ride anything like every day because drinking. - Am I ever going to get my first pbp qualifier done?

Anywhere special likely to have stuff like this? Or is it just a case of trawling ebay/here

FWIW I've never seen the cherry red paint come up on UK ebay. It may have been US only. The good news is it's pretty easy to fake with pretty much any CAAD6 - original CAAD8.
Although from time to time you do get some interesting things pop up, like a NOS CAAD7 black lightning

Long shot but anyone got a spare rear long drop brake, nutted and silver? The extra long ones that go up to ~70mm, like the Tektro R559.
I've got long drop at the moment but not long enough to allow wheel being moved back in the drop outs to make room for guards.
Also on the lookout for a half decent freewheel, 17t.

I'll say it again, ebay for Suntour BMX freewheels - relatively cheap and great quality.

Not cheap, but stuff produced by small volume US manufacturers - King cages, PDW, White Industries costs considerably less if you happen to need it.
Included in that list is Powertap hubs.
Assuming power metres appear in the answers to 1. Should I get one or would it be wasted on me?
If you have some structured training on the cards and £300 burning a hole in your pocket you could do worse than getting a Powertap. But if it came to a toss-up between a PT and a coach / trainer for a couple of months, well, you know...

Shimano geeks assemble ..
@dubtap @Dammit @mdcc_testerI've damaged rubber hood covers of my 6770 shifters in recent crash; the shimano part number from this PDF is Y6VE98060. Cheapest I could find was £24.99+postage on ebay.
Is there a cheaper alternative? Will the 6870 covers work as they are much cheaper ..

So I've had a Timbuk2 bag for several years and the stitching on the shoulder strap is coming apart at one end. Does anyone know a seamstress/alterations place that would have a sewing machine that could redo the stitching?

Shoemakers might be a better bet, they have heavier duty equipment.

Cheers, a good point. I'll come back with an update in case anyone else has a similar issue.
Timbuk2 were good about their warranty and offered to repair and return it, only problem is having to get it back to the US in the first place!
So, more than two?
(sorry Ed, but it was a gift that needed opening)
