Thanks. I have enough sets of V brakes. And Mini-Vs. Cantis are a ball ache to set-up (that's why I'll get Nik to do it), but they are the brake which is most suitable for my needs.

Remember when you could respond to multiple messages in one post? Can that still be done without me having to @ people individually? I love the new forum, but the quoting/responding system does my head in a bit.

You could try asking in this thread. A few of us bring it up periodically, but now that Microcosm is dead I suppose there's even less chance of getting proper quoting back than there was before.

Can some kind soul direct me to the "Everything you ever wanted or needed to know about Cyclo cross thread" thread?
Ta very much.

There doesn't seem to be one, maybe you should start it in https://www.lfgss.com/microcosms/508/ where all the other disciplines have their generic threads.

What are the Italian equivalents of Wiggle, Chain Reaction etc?
Can't find helmet pads in the UK anywhere for a Carerra Pistard helmet and Carerra themselves weren't much help so need to try and shop around. -

A Minoura DS-4000 stand with 2 extra cradles will change my life. Of course Zyro doesn't import it and amazon.jp doesn't want to ship it to me. Has anone used a forwarder from Japan? Bearing in mind the weight will be around 11kg.
Otherwise what would be the alternative? I need something for 4/5 bikes, vertical, no wall attachment. -

Go to some market, find an old clothes rack and cut it down to fit.
DIY a wheel holder. -

It's advertised with replaceable linings so I thought it would be an easy task to find them .....
The lining has gone already and it is only 2 years old so I would hope to get a few more years out of it. Ho hum, have emailed the distributor on the off chance. -

I wouldn't expect to keep a helmet for more than two years if I were using it all the time.

Thanks @rive_gauche, this has a 100kg rating which is more than enough.

It does get used every day. I thought the general timescale was about 4 years; in that case maybe I will get a new one as £25 is about half what paid orginally! Cheers.

Champion System kit - how does the sizing come up?
If I go by the sizing on the website should I be ok?

Is anyone able to solder really small things?
The mini-usb power input has become desoldered from the pcb of a camera, and it's too fiddly and small for my crappy soldering skilled.
Happy to pay with beer & cash.

New logo. What's up?

Yep.
The bibs are really good IMO.
Mini-vs are rubbish. Vs on short-pull levers are rubbish.
