    I would have thought it was Still quite sweet, but I've never drank it because the one time I bought some I couldn't get over the idea that I was about to drink some cold soup.

    I bought some becks blue, and it's certainly got potential. Not as gassy as actual lager, too, which is a bonus. Not really a lager drinker, so I've no idea if it tastes like the boozy stuff.

    But not super sweet, as the sugar is mostly fructose and it's offset somewhat by a small amount of citric acid. I've been known to add a dash of lime juice to it.

  • Fresh lime and lemon juice, bit of sugar and a few dashes of Angostura bitters, shaken with ice then topped up with soda water.

  • I have been drinking sparkling water with lime everyday since giving up on beer; I quite enjoy it with a pinch of salt

  • These are a small selection of the non-alcoholic beers I drank on holiday this year. Unfortunately not all available in the UK.
    My favourite non-alcoholic beer in the UK is the sainsburys own brand one.
