I feel like going for a good walk/hike up a hill or in countryside. Anywhere that's good and an hour or so from London by train?

all good ideas, i will investigate.
I guess i need to go study the bastard....
Cheap chainset? A mate of mine had a cheap SS bike with a one piece crank and pressed steel chainring. Upon accelerating the pedalling action warped the chainring so much it derailed itself. Also the BB was a little loose which made the problem worse.

warping chain ring?! Thats something i didnt consider. interesting!

Cheap chainset?
Shimano HT2 road crank with a 130mm BCD SS chainring in the "middle-ring" position.
Cheap, difficult to fuck up, light, strong.
Just not hipster-approved.

cant be worn... Worn means having actually ridden the damn thing. The bike is only a few months old.
Came assembled. So chainline shouldnt be wrong.
Is it a half-link chain? I had one that got worn to the point of skipping in a surprisingly short space of time.

no half link. Just a cheap chain. upgrade time me thinks.

If I needed to buy a yoga mat, ASAP, around Old Street, where am I going?

You could try them (in Rivington Street):
I don't know if they sell stuff, but most yoga studios have a little stock.

This setup works great for me. I use a double chainset though, with the chainring on the outside which works perfectly with my Miche pistard wheelset.

Most large supermarkets stock Yoga/Gym mats for ~£5

Ivinghoe Beacon or any of the other hills around Tring, less than an hour from Euston. A healthy walk and you'll see the chalk lion at Whipsnade Zoo.

Right, I've just about had enough of the moth infestation that is my bedroom. I've been hoovering the shit out of them regularly and they keep coming back. Mothballs and all that do squat.
So I've had an exceptionally stupid idea, but it could also be brilliant.
They basically only live in the carpet under my bed. I presume they like darkness. Seeing as I am no longer a child and therefore spend zero time hiding under my bed, my idea is to get a big board of plywood or similar, cut it to be just smaller than the footprint of my bed and place it on the carpet there. Obviously will give it one final hoover just before positioning of said plywood.
Am I a genius or is this retarded?

I would have ripped the carpet up and binned it by now then.
Where can I buy these riveted downtube STI cable stops in the UK?

Seen this guide on Gearinches and think it may be a solution.
