Confirmed by Anglian. They're unique but they're trying to get us a new one (on Monday).
Lucky that I live 5 mins from their shop in Streatham.
Try turning it with a bic pen. I've opened a similar looking lock with a pen before

I want a new road bike Well, need one really. I've persisted with my badly fitting Pinarello for so long I can't feel the end of one of my fingers any more and my big toe is numb.
I want to spend up to £2k. I am very out of date on what is available.
I am currently tempted by a PX N2A with Ultegra but whenever I have mentioned this to forumengers I have been firmly told "don't buy PX, they are shit". Is this just brand snobbery or is a full ultegra PX frame with their CT45 wheels for £1999 a bad deal?
In any case, I need some help sizing up some options. Could anybody give me some more suggestions in my price range?

Canyon?

On my list to look into now. Cheers.
I just want to find the options that offer the most bang for my buck for the price range.
So far, I haven't found anything that appears to be as well specced as the PX N2A. Most bikes I have found in my price range come with 105 rather than Ultegra. The question is...is the n2a frame crap?

Oooh the Canyons look tasty. Problem is I haven't got a scoobie which is the better bike.

Rose bikes, like Canyon, can get you a lot for your money.
The Rose Xeon RS is available with Ultegra Di2 for under £1,900.
Jammy seemed pretty happy with his - Jammy's Rose Xeon RS fast bike

Thanks, keep them coming.
I am a fan of Verenti bikes too but their new range seems to be a backward step on previous years.

F*ck me. You get a lot for your money with Rose. Can't say I've considered Di2 before though.

I'm buying something on ebay, it will be sent RM recorded/signed for and no one will be in the house.
It's going to be a bit difficult for someone to collect it at the depot, so I asked the seller if he'd deliver to my mums work address.
The seller said no, because he has to deliver to the address registered with paypal for insurance purposes.
Does that make sense?
I can't remember registering an address and in the past I've set the address on the payment page to whoever and wherever I want.
Any thoughts on the best course of action? Should I just change the addresses to my mums work regardless, or is that a dick move as he's already specifically said no?
Cheers

Yes. It's not "insurance" as such, but it's standard for ebay/PayPal seller protection.

Okay. So I should stop whinging.
It odd though as I can't remember registering a specific address as such.

Look in your paypal account and see if there is an address there (it may well default to your card billing address or some such). We can't tell you if you have or haven't!
But certainly paypal provides an address to a seller and it's different to whatever you select in ebay checkout. I totally sympathise with them insisting on it given some unscrupulous buyers...

I'm not sure you can get a better quality bike than the Verenti Revleation with sram force 22 and a full carbon frame for £1400 at the moment.

But if a faff, but could the seller refund you, issue a new invoice and then you pay with the alternate postal address on the invoice?

Cheers Henry. I really loved the Verenti Rhigos with Ultegra but sadly I've got no experience of SRAM so I tend to discount them which is a bit stupid clearly. I'll add that to the list too.

**Q: Do I need carbon assembly paste for a carbon seatpost into a steel frame?
A: ** -
• #60847
A: Yes
-
• #60848
ordinary grease will react with the resins, and cause the seat post to swell and jam.
-
• #60849
I tend to just use it on seatposts as a rule as it lowers the amount of torque you need to stop it slipping.

Sram is more similar to Shimano than Campag, because of the lack of thumb shifters. The new Shimano hoods are getting more and more similar to Sram ones because they're really comfy. Shifting wise, Sram feels like the lever engages quicker and the double tap mechanism feels very natural.
It's all personal preference and Shimano, Campag and Sram all do the job with minimal fuss.
You're welcome to have a test ride on my bike with Sram Red.
Cool, it's not the budget then, just lack of bikes for sale. Guess we'll keep looking
